i reckon both the verve and stone roses were pretty big bands to be fair...i'd go for the chords,blaggers ita,3 Johns,living end,mighty lemon drops...they all should have progressed to major venues,more record sales,glad they didn't though...

Milburn definitely. They had a better sound to them compared to Arctic Monkeys, and AM used to support them!
Another band that is actually around now that should be massive is Missing Andy. They're a brilliant band, youtube them!
