...which i'm not saying it definatley will!
but if it did, what would become of the welsh, scottish and irish leagues?
would we have one big british league?
and if so, where would be 'bigger' teams (celtic and rangers basicly) slot into this new league system?

If Rangers and Celtic joined any other league, then they would both have to lose their sectarian baggage. Celtic, in particular, would have a hard time in England. It's not part of our football culture in England and Wales. But a British league, and a permanent GB team, is the logical outcome of the Olympics. If that's what most people in football want, then fair enogh. But this is being led by non-football people. Once the London Olympics are over, they won't care less about football. They are, basically, athletics people.

i cant see our national teams becoming redundant i understand the fear from wales scotland and northern ireland but everyone is forgetting one other team england do you really think the english fa will give up on all their history as a football team for a permanent GB team because i dont.
on the GB league the amount of money invested into the premier league i really doubt a GB league would exist because there are far to many welsh, scottish and irish clubs who would not have the finances to compete

Its absoloutely pathetic in how we as a nation are the only country who have a great britain squad for 128 olympic sports or however many it is but not a GB football team - It has to be one or the other.
every other nation has one nationality , yet we are the smallest
welsh rugby has never been effected by the brittish lions anyway

Well they couldn't get any worse now could they. Especially in Wales, there's hardly any difference between the Prem league and the Sunday leagues. And no one in Wales has any vision to improve things either.

true though we'v got welsh prem players in our sunday league team,
alot of proffesional football players aren't miles ahead though, its more work ethic, dedication and lifestyle

i thought the olympics were mainly amateur sports people anyway?? but i remember a few yrs back when the us basketball team was mostly made up of the dream team and it caused a huge stink...
i honestly dont think that we would lose the founder members of football though.. being the f.a. , faw etc...

It won't happen because if it did there would be one hell of a stink and a long running court case.
