Halloween

Gone very Americanised last few years. Major emphasis on the costumes nowadays and it doesnt seem to be about the money anymore. Kids seem happy with the sweets.

When i was a kid it was all about the money. We would be out from about the 25th and do a different street every night for about a week. Could clear a good £50 and that was in the 80s. If they tried to palm me off with sweets and chocolates like they do these days they would get a firework through the door.

My missus got a bag of goodies in but I will still be handing out some money and keeping it real.

Saying that its already cost me about £50 on two costumes for my little uns and tickets to a party tonight.

Never liked beggars. When I was a kid, growing up in Wales, Halloween was something the Yanks celebrated, not us.

Same for me John, a hollowed out swede with a candle in, some home made toffee apples and some ducking apples too.

I almost got killed on halloween about 4 years ago, So i wised up!!
