Not the best salesman in the world - The welsh weather is strangely looking a bit more tolerable

Went there for Xmas about 10yrs ago,you don't want to worry about the weather mid 70's to 80's did'nt rain once,you want to worry about getting in the Disney parks,I never realised it would be so busy some of the theme parks were full by mid day.

Mate, it'll be comfortable; a bit like a really pleasant spring. Not too hot but not cold either....

Chrimbo (or The Holidays, as they Americans call it) in Orlando is something else and they really get into it

The theme parks will be VERY busy but the shows/displays etc will be very seasonal and the atmosphere superb. Suggest a VERY early entry to the Disney Parks as it has been known for them to 'lock the gates' when they reach capacity. A very good alternative is Busch Gardens near Tampa (about a 2 hour drive away)

For something a little different (defo book before you go) go see Cirque du Soleil (La Nouba) in Downtown Disney. We go there every time we're in Florida and is still one of the highlights of our holiday

I am in Orlando often and have been there for the last 5 years over the Holidays.

There was only one year where it was cold I think it was in the 40's all day...two years in the 70's and two years in the high 50's low 60's.

Unless there is a major cold snap it will be pleasent enough....in the 50's and 60's. It should be warm enough for light wear (t-shirt, pants) in the afternoons, with maybe jackets at night.

It is major league crowded the closer you get to Xmas. My family probably does Disney four times a year, in fact we just got back last week. If you have any questions PM me.

been 3 times for xmas, one rare year where it was cold, only due to the heavy snow from new york south pushing the cold weather down..

generally though 70's or mid 20's.. for xmas day we pre booked a meal in the top restaurant in magic kingdom in advance on the disney website.. was only around $40 per head with the characters... good for the kids..

on xmas day disney reaches capacity by 10am so be there early.. around 8ish... unless your staying onsite....

Been there for Crimbo. Weather is 16/20 degrees. parks are heaving it is the busiest time of the year. We went for three weeks and kept away from the parks until Jan 3rd when the crowds are greatly reduced. Go to celebration village one night, on main street it snows every hour.

celebration is really nice... amazing village/town .. the snow is a nice touch...

I must say I was highly dissapointed in the couple of times I spent in Orlando and the whole of Florida during the christmas period..They just don't seem to celebrate or make a big show of xmas like us Brits do.

Granted the Disney parks puts on a nice show for the kids if that is what you plan on doing ( Disney bores me stupid mind ), but Universal Studios, Sea World etc may as well be any other day of the year.. It just seemed everywhere I went, be it attractions or even somewhere like Old Town ( popular shopping and eating destintion ) off the highway 192 in Kissimmee, the locals Floridians forgot that it was even xmas time.

I wouldn't recommend going over for xmas if you are planning on going there for any other reason than to get away from the British cold weather. Florida ( can't speak for the whole of the USA ) just dosen't have the vibe or the feel of a nice British xmas with friends and family..

What in the heck did you expect? I love Disney so I like the Holidays there. I can assure you most Americans celebrate Christmas warmly with friends and family. Most of them do it in their hometowns. If you are coming to America to observe "worthy celebrations of Christmas" I would choose thousands of other locations. But the poster is going to Disney and he will have fun.

def would say not warm enough for waterparks, unless you get a lucky day... play it by ear that one while over there..

It will not be warm enough for a water park more than likely, and from what I remember Disney does not even have them open. Mallo is dead on about Halloween this is certainly the best time to go. We go four times a year, resulting in well over 20 trips. Nothing beats Halloween, although early January is great for low crowds.

I swam in pool Xmas day last year and I'm now only thawing out lol no chance blizzard beach typhoon lagoon closed think aquatic was open to see animals but we never attempted to cold were out there for new years . Disney was brilliant fir kids Xmas last year we did evening with mickeys Xmas last year on last day which was on the 19th December cost a bomb Xmas day was millions without tickets so we ended up in animal kingdom which was very good and a dry but cold day kids enjoyd

I live in Florida. It will probably be in the 70's during the day going down to 50's/ 60's at night. The last 2 years we've had a cold spell and several nights when it went below freezing. Generally it is very nice but to be honest I miss the cold welsh Christmas. If you need any more info let me know.
