Yet another moaning post from you. Most fans look at it as us being a new team 1 point from a play off spot and 4 points from autos as a good thing. You really need to get your head out of your arse. Your either not getting any or just have a sad life

Barnsley before playing us had only lost 1 out of the last 9 games.

Yes it's a very negative outlook after the way we attacked today, but Barnsley offered hardly anything, and still scored 3, 9 goals in 3 now, we're not going to score 5 every game, clean sheets will be essential

Barnesly must have had an off day as they were only 2 points behind us at the start of play.

Having said that , we comprehensively beat a poor team, and that was encouraging.

I dont understand why people get on your case as your saying how it is,lets all start threads of how good we are and how we gonna do this and that AND WATCH THE FORUM GO DOWN HILL yet if you start a thread saying ok we let in 3 and scored 5 but up against better teams we would get a hammering if u go off the 3 goals against yesterday and if better opponent defended like they didnt .Im sure there will be 22 better teams than barnsley yesterday over the season and to be honest they will probly be the worst team we will have seen this year @home yet people want YOU banned for pointing out how shit we are at the back which is facts goals vs do not lie im starting to think some on this forum are living with there heads in the clouds as thats what went on infront of my own eyes yesterday,or can people only say we WON 5-3 WOOHOO and thats the end of that thread  :ayatollah:

Yesterday was one of the best games of football I have watched in a long while, extremely entertaining.

However, MG I totally agree with you we should-not get carried away as Barnsley were awful yet still managed to score 3 goals against us.

Malky has had a honeymoon period but some questions are beginning to be asked and a worrying trend of picking his favourites is beginning to immerge i.e. Scottish players getting preference, Hudson over Gerrard or Blake and the recalling of the hapless McPhail.

If MM is going down that route then we have Dave Jones mark II. What I would like to see is Malky growing some bollocks and dropping Hudson would be an ideal start.

Which Scottish players gain "preference" and what are the alternatives?

Hudson dropped for Gerrard? You mean error prone Gerrard - but he fist pumps so clearly shows pashun. Blake>? Surer, he's been good for Wales, but has made numerous mistakes for us, leading to goals against. Mostly as his distribution is appalling.

Hapless McPhail? The McPhail who ran the show yesterday? The guy who, when we took him off, we lost control of the game?

We're still to really fully 100% click this season. We're one point off the playoffs. For all the criticising, we'll get better. Perspective, eh?

I'm still trying to work out McPhail. Yes he ran the show yesterday but he usually does against the weak teams. I've yet to see him do the same against the top teams.

Unfortunately he has been ravaged with injury so it is difficult to judge him as you need a good run of games to seriously be tested against the best. However the fact he can be good against the weak from returning from injury well lets hope he is around a lot more for the big tests when they come then we will see what he is made of.

And Whittingham used to go missing regularly. Different manager, different formation.

As usual Ian you are ahead of the game.

Great point I have previous asked this question, when has McPhail had a great game against better opposition? He is ususally remembered for 2 great displays against Derby, the one at Ninian Park which we won 4-1 (the Gavin Rae pass) and the one at CCS when we won 6-1.

In both games Derby were ravaged by injuries and in the 6-1 defeat they didn't have a recongised centre-back playing once they incurred an injury early on to the only fit one the had.

That apart we here about him 'running' games even though he never scores and rarely offers an assist. I don't by this compsure crap as that usually means being caught in possession in this league.

He has had loads of injuries and that means he is not mobile and that has shown up hundreds of times in the past as teams have steamrollered through the midfield by easily by-passing him or just beating him for pace.

As a long term option we are looking down the barrel of a diaster and I just hope that Malky knows this.
