Club Buying Back Tickets

Sat Oct 22, 2011 7:00 am

Really gutted unable to make the game tomorrow its me wifes birthday, thought I'd give the club a call to inform them that I wasn't attending and to see if they would offer to resell the tickets on my behalf.

A staff member on the phone said yeah we will resell but would cancel my ticket and sell them but were unable to refund any kind of payment.

I'm sure that Carl mentioned in one of his updates correct me if I'm wrong that the club that the club were looking at a buy back scheme. I asked the staff member if there was any such anicitive and he said that the club had decided against and would only do this if we got to the premiership.

Carl do you know why this was not put in place?

My point is with ticket demands in certain areas so high why doesn't the club put this in ASAP? Means less empty seats and better atmosphere all round.

Whats your thoughts?

Managed to get someone to have me tickets In the family stand. Come on bluebirds let's get a good win tomorrow. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

This just shows me the club still do not listen and are not fair to the fans

No sense, thats why Gethin had to go, one of many many reasons.

Sadly it looks like we have not moved forward, I hope Julian Jenkins gets more of a say as he really was once a City fan and knows what we really all go through supporting our club . :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Wasn't Gethin a City fan too?

Why all the negativity? Yes it would be nice if the club could resell tickets on our behalf, it would be a win win situation but not doing so is hardly "shocking service".

We've got more positives aspects to our club than we've ever had and step by step things are improving, all we can do is give the club our opinion and suggestions and hope they listen.

3 points and progression in the Cup and the world will seem a better place. :ayatollah:

BOTN, no agree not shocking service, but they have mentioned on a number of occasions that they are unhappy with empty seats and send out reminders when you don't attend, by having something like this in place can only be good for the club.

I for one is very keen on fans trying to help making sure the seats are full. :)

Yes, I think the (often half-empty) Family Stand should maybe be an exception to the rule and tickets could be re-sold on a commissioned 'sale or return' basis

If, say, a ticket was worth £20 they could re-sell at face value and take 25% commission with the rest returned to the season ticket holder via their bank account (or maybe even some kind of 'Club Credit' scheme where any credits could be used for a range of goods/services at CCS)

That would be a win/win situation for all concerned and (being honest) is more than we could reasonably EXPECT, as the club are under no legal obligation to return/refund/re-sell any ticket once sold

Elsewhere in the ground (save the odd game) there doesn't seem to be such demand for tickets, so the club can sell 'other' unsold tickets to maximise their income streams

Personally, if I can't get to a game I simply pass my ticket on to a mate for free. I'd rather someone use it for nothing than have an empty seat that I've already paid for. But that's me....soft at heart!!

Good post Sven G, I'm very much the same, if I'm unable to attend first I offer my friends who have children a free ticket. Sometimes I can't always find someone to go hence I think there should be some kind of buy back system in place, works well for other club.

Gutted I missed yesterday brill result for City :o :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
