Was very young at the time, but can remember it well. The worst tragedy to hit Wales in my lifetime. May the children, and adults, who died, Rest in Peace.
Thanks for reminding us. Aberfan must never be forgotten.

Your so right, it must never be forgotten, Im keeping my kids home from school tomorrow and will take them up to the graves and tell them the story of it. The real sad part is that no one was ever brought to answer for this act . Also the government of the day mad the people who lost there children pay for the clean up out of the money that people sent from all over the world.

I remember when we used to go to away games and the home end would sing about Aberfan, City fans would go wild, how can people be so cruel.

I was 13 at the time and was totally shocked at what I was watching on the National News, a coal tip had subsided and came slithering down straight on top of a school, what an horrific sight it was all those innocent children burried under that slag heap. RIP all the poor people that lost their lives that day and not forgetting the dispicable act of the Government of the day making the families of the victims pay for the clean up.

i also remember those disgusting chants over the years.
what i didn't realise until i watched the video was the missing money? surely someone has to be accountable?
GBP1m forty five years ago would be worth today over GBP14million
if they can release the Hillsborough papers surely this also warrants an enquiry?
