didnt go to the game last night listenend to the radio but whatch all home games and occasional away games every body harping on about strikers and wide men but it seems to me our centre halves are to slow the best partnership for me over the last few years was blake and gerrard and now neither can get in the side before you all slate me we had a great run with that partnership before jonesy broke it up to put his favourites in agaisnt blackpool in the final and the rest is history my point is we should give these two younger players there chance because at the moment it aint working :old: :ayatollah:

I agree with you mate, I've been saying that for a long time but for some reason our managers seem to think Hudson is the be all and end all of our defence, I'm sorry but in my opinion they are way off the mark with that assumption. I would put Gerrard and Blake ahead of that carthorse any day of the week. :ayatollah:

i agree but they would need a run of games together not just 1 game mm should give darcy and gerrard the chance together against burnley in the cup but they should have 1st choice fullbacks along side them to be fair plus our best midfield avaliable

Malky knows best, He is the manager, He sees them everyday close up and was once a centre half himself and not a bad one at that.
So leave him get on with managing his players

On last nights performance Turner needs games, looked off the pace at times. My choice would be Blake/Gerrard or Blake/ Turner. at least with Darcy you have a bit more pace and i think the manager should stop messing him about and play him as a centre back and i would play Keinan before Hudson .

Would love to see Blake and Gerrard together as our centre halfs, give them both a run of games.
