Very impressed today.
Won't miss much in the air this season, quick in the tackle.
His covering is miles better than gerrards but can still improve on that.

In saying that I thought Hudson was brilliant today.

Totally agree. Considering that was his first game in however many months, he was immense. :ayatollah:

Him and Hudson were superb today until the two goals i though the defense was on top of things really really impressed :D :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sounds silly considered we conceded two
First goal a midfielder should have closed him down (I told em to  )
Second one i have no idea what happened.

I know just realized i sounded like an idiot  but they seemed on top of things before Scotland's goal  some great tackles and their strikers hardly had the ball if that clears anything up.
First Goal was obviously a quality finish, and the midfield should have closed him down or one of the centre half (i was screaming for some to close them down  )
Second one was the otherside of the pitch so didnt see a thing.

he looks very good to be fair,no nonsense as well doesnt prat around with the ball and im certain hell get a few headed goals for us by the end of the season
id have turner partnered up with blake personally as hudsons lack of pace will cost us more goals this season unfortunately

Re: Ben turner

certainly a prsence but concern for me not quick and in that respect too similair too what we already got

Best CB performance this season really, though maybe he (and everyone) could have done better for the first. But a real find.

More goals? You seem to be implying that his "lack of pace" (which doesn't really matter - ever heard of Sami Hyypia?) cost us a goal today, but he didn't make one error I don't think!

Thought he offered more pace than anyone we have.
Reminded me a lot of sir roger Johnson.

It's only one game though, like to make a fuller impression a few games in. Plus I feel Hudson was very poor today and the midfield was only effective in the final 15-20mins.

Very poor? Wasn't at his best but I don't think he was that bad.

It's all I can judge him on but it's exactly what I was expecting with his physic.

Thought Hudson was excellent ESP in the first half.

To early to judge but then judged :o

Maybe not the roger that left but I'd say turner is better than the one that joined us.

I seem excited about this lad. A massive rock in defence who loves a header and does seem to like a tackle. Only thing that let him down was his pace which i'm sure will come back to him given a few games
