Ninian Halt Station - who is the idiot?

Ninian Halt Station - who is the idiot in charge of the transport policy in this area ?

The reason for the Ninian to Radyr train service to be cancelled for an hour after a match was " for safety and comfort of passengers"....as the staions to Radyr are too small to accommodate nothing larger than a 2 carriage train.

The result - everyone has to walk 3 times as far to Grangetown station, across 4 lanes of heavy Penarth Rd traffic and up a long flight of steps.,,,and today as for the previous matches a 2 carriage train turns up (5.20 to Merthyr) - and everyone and his dog piles and squeezes on to the train - no comfort and no saftey.

There was not one square foot of space on the train and even when a small number of people got off at the Central there was still not room to walk along or even see along the carriages. The conductor was not able to leave his position by one of the doors as he could not move.

And it was nothing to do with the rugby international as this was before any rugby people would have got on.

We stood all the way to Radyr - in "comfort and safety".

Who is the transport policy idiot ?

I shall take my car next time and park in a Canton side street. Same distance to walk but at least I get a seat and get home a lot quicker. Is this what public transport policy hopes to achieve ?

Is the idea not to use Ninian Halt after games for a trial period ?

I do hope they look at the pros and cons again.

What do other Nin Halt users that go to Danescourt, Radyr and the Valleys think ?

Also there is the train that took fans straight to the Central.

Should both directions have the same solution i.e.closure after matches?
