Now, I know he is a jack but I think he has turned Wales slowly around, which is great. Hopefully Wales dont throw this gem away like they did with Mark Hughes

How can you not? Early days yet but he's working wonders at the moment.

I was not happy before the Montynegro match No, but results and performances do not lie. What a performance tonight the best Wales have played for many many years. Lets go !!

Superb performance by Cymru tonight. Have to give GS some time now. Let's face it, we have a hell of a lot of talent, at the moment, in Welsh football, so we should be able to challenge in the next tournament. Finishing with a win away to Bulgaria will show our intentions to go a step further next time (albeit that we'll probably be without Craig Bellamy by then).

The results before the Montenegro game meant nothing.
The bullshit Carling Nations Cup were alot of players pulled out of the first game v Ireland. He rested all the first team against Scotland and almost got a win. Played full team v Norn Iron and got the result.
First qualifier was against England, thrown in the deep end without our best player. Disappointing performance but was we expecting much?

Results are what count and well done tonight

The performance was very encouraging as well, mind.
I envy you going to Bulgaria. I know we can't qualify, but it's going to be a match worth seeing.

Just would like to make a few observations on tonights game,Wales fully deserved their win,in fact i would argue that we could have won by more goals, which brings me to my first observation,i would contend that was Bellamy's worst game for his country, how many chances did he squandered trying to go for goal himself, when he had team mates better placed(wont be popular that one i think)i doubt this other observation will be popular with the bluebird fans, but i thought Jo Allen is such a huge talent, and Swansea are lucky to have him, another observation,is that Bale is truly one of our very few world class players, and last but not least,Blake will never be an international player,no matter what position Speed plays him in

An interesting observation. A clean sheet against Switzerland and keeping some of Europe's finest in Rooney, Jovanovic and Jovetic quiet in the games against the Saes and Montenegro, as well as an international goal against Australia suggest otherwise, but hey hum.

Agree with all of that, except the bit about Blake. I noticed his errors, as you clearly did, but he wasn't all bad and a clean sheet for Wales against a very good side suggests he's doing OK - if not more than that.

HOW IS HE A JACK, HE COMES FROM FLINT RIGHT IN NORTH WALES
Geography lessons

I'm starting to like him.

Hes clearly doing something right now and the team seem to playing to a good passing system. After the gloom of Toshack its refreshing to see a Welsh team actually going forward and offering something rather than the drab affairs of recent years. Keep it up Mr Speed

Tosh did seem to play so they didn't loose but would not win. But this team TBH has that old under 21 attitude of f**k it lets go and win it. And why not because that team was our old under 21 side and that attitude done them proud a few years ago at under 21 level

Not just geography lessons, but football lessons are in order. Don't you know anything about our national manager? And to answer the question, yes, I do like Gary Speed.

Well it's not very nice to call the bloke a Jack is it?
Sun Oct 09, 2011 4:25 pm
No, but I hope he proves me wrong, he his reaping the rewards of Brian Flynn and John Toshacks youth revolution of blooding youngsters when they were not ready.

The results are starting to show he has something about himself.
When he was first appointed I was apprehensive because of he wasn't really proven, but he's found himself in the Wales team and the results are finally starting to show something that we've been wanting to see for ages.

I like him and so do the players by the look of the way they are playing football for him.Fancy calling him a jack lol,

We have played very well the past 3 games, but I still think that's to do with the players theirselves rather than the manager. I still don't think Speed is a very good manager but one thing I will give him credit for is that he's not afraid to pick the players in form and starting Darcy at centre back was a very brave, bold and successful move by him. Like I said, I still don't rate him as a manager but if he continues to turn Wales around he will go up in my estimation.
The way I see it at the moment, the players have gone from playing for a disciplinarian under Toshack, to a guy they respect in Speed. There has been a positive transformation because of this, but will this be sustained in the long run? Or will everyone go back to their old ways in the future when they hit the comfort zone, like they did under Hughes?

Past 3 games i watched has been something to be proud of!
It will build a fan base for Wales Football also hes obviously trying to make Wales better and i totall respect him for that we have good possession and passing spells in the 3 games i watched and if we work on that more we could see Wales a lot more in the competitions! I think we need a few better players and big defenders who are well known!
We have Bale, Ramsey, Bellamy, etc if we see more defenders who are well known like Blake whos becoming more better by the game!
If Speed is beating teams like Montengro and Swittzerland who are giving other teams a scare when they play them then hes doing good!
