Im not sure the 4-5-1 is the answer for every game tbh.

Of all our strikers, Earnie is the LEAST likely to get the nod in
a 4-5-1 formation.

Agreed if we gonna play 4 - 5 - 1 would have to be Gestede for me as he can hold the ball up for the midfielders pushing on. Quite a negative way of playing though, and not sure our midfield is mobile enough or has enough pace to play this formation.

Depending who we are playing to be honest and if it suits the game but Miller or Gustede for me

Not sure I agree it's negative.
Blackpool away was IMO our best performance and I think the key is letting gunarrson move more forward.

If the midfield are bombing forward and joining up with the attack its
anything but negative. Blackpool was a perfect example of the formation
being used in a positive way. Conway, Cowie, Whittingham.. they've all
got goals in them, they've proved that already. Its also reassuring to finally
see a defensive midfielder with a bit of spite in him, Kiss looks like he'd
kick his Granny into the stand if she was on the opposite team

Yet at Blackpool gunarrson impressed me the most midfield has it all
