A bloke who lived round the corner from me was home last week. He
was visiting his mam. He is apparently something to do with Beryani
Corporation. Some legal stuff (he's quite posh)
I was chatting to him in the pub (he noticed my City Tee shirt).. in his
words.. The boardroom over there now has Cardiff City memorabilia on
the walls, and Cardiff City ARE part of a long term strategy re: Europe..
But possibly just as important.. Tan loves having 'his own' Club![]()
I should point out he admitted he has nothing to do with the Cardiff City
side of things. I mentioned to him about a percieved lack of investment
here. His words "Tan will never throw money into a bucket full of holes!"
He elaborated, saying that VT's business strategy has always been to work
from the bottom up, lay the foundations, strengthen from within and then
expand. Thats what he's doing here. He laughed when I asked if he was
ready to walk. He said Tony Fernandez has got a Premiership Club, and Tan
has an ego too. "Your in safe hands" he said (in a posh voice)

beryani!!
on a plus side thats good signs that they are here for the long haul.. but without doubt we def need 1 or 2 loan players.. we now do not have any strikers available.. i was chatting with gestade before the southampton game and he says around 2-3 weeks he will be out for.. earnie maybe back for next league game but as u could see yesterday when miller got inj we had no option but to bring on a 17 yrd old midfielder.. (all be it a pretty good one) we really are at the bare bones now...

It's clear Malky will only bring in players he feels will add to the squad - unlike Jones with JLS, Bywater, Brown et al.
Gestede, Earnie weren't serious, long term injuries - should be back after the international break.
Bring a striker in earlier this week, then we'd be paying 93 days wages, with a 2 week break slap bang during that period. And then when Gestede and Earnie are back, that player would have to be a fairly clear starter - otherwise wasting money on a loan player to fill in for one game in particular.
Based upon the players Mackay has brought in - and let's remember people slated Gestede for only having played lower league French football without being a goalscorer - I've every confidence in Mackay's judgment so far.

My point is if that was what money he had left surely he would have spent it on a forward?![]()
We need two forwards and a winger by the next time we play with Conway, Rudy, Taylor etc back as well things could get interesting...
