Got a feeling the Board have lost intrest no ambition it can't be that hard to get loan players in something not right. :ayatollah:

annis, we are a hard working team. but. we need help. malky knows this. and he knows what sort of players we need. ???

I feel what MM is doing is tremendous, however he needs help from the board with money. We are a hard working team and that is a massive improvement on the last few years but we are missing creativity, and we need to get a good winger with pace and good distribution :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

MM has his budget and IMO he must stick to it. I'm fed up of spending beyond our means and adding to an already an almost unmangable debt. Why would we want to add to that and risk more HMRC wind up orders.

People hated jones for not using youth so stick to the budget and fill the bench with young players like everyone wanted?

Sign a loan player now most likely we have to pay a loan fee plus wages and for 2 weeks of that they won't play as it's international break. By that time rudy, Conway, earnie should be back, so then paying wages for people who don't make the squad. For the same money in jan we can sign players on perm deals.

Does MM not have money? He seems to say things like the Carling Cup have hindered him, and getting the right person and turning one down. Biding his time is a good quality.

I can remember people going ballistic because we hadn't replaced Jones in about 2 days. Then the board got the right man. No one's complaining about that now. :ayatollah:

I'm all for sticking to the budget, but i thought in that budget there was money to pay for bellamy's wages if he came.We didn't get him so where's that money gone, ridsdale has gone so he couldn't of taken it.

Who has said that money isn't available? MM has said he is looking.
Maybe he doesn't see value so would rather wait til jan?

We had a reserve keeper,3 defenders n young ralls on the bench(ralls done well by the way)
Surely if injury's persist we wont get 11 men out, alone a bench
Something needs to be done now if you ask me

Your aware of the money that the board has spent on balancing the books and getting the lights we've been moaning about the stadium needing since the opening of CCS right? And all the money that was spent with signing on fee's, compensation etc for our summer signings? Not to mention that there IS another transfer window so they may be doing exactly what Malky likes doing, looking for the players which will match our style and give 100%.

Agree with this one, Annis :ayatollah:

My only confusion is whether the Board are (or are not) backing Malky in the loan market?? We all know (and rightly so IMO) that they keep things close to their chests, so it may just be that there IS something in the pipeline

Additionally, Malky seems to be 'fussy' about the type of player/character he brings in to the squad and that is to be commended after some of the players latterly brought in by Dave Jones (who, I admit, I backed fully whilst he was here)

Hopefully, things will move on pretty quickly and we'll have good news by the end of the international break. Either way, it will be a good indicator of the current Board's ambition for this season (and maybe beyond)

Let's hope, as the old song goes, that silence is golden, eh??

If its £100k or 1m IMO it irrelevent, it MUST be kept to and no more should be spent.

If I was Tan I would have sold everyone the first season and played on a minimum budget until we are debt free.
Running at a loss that us unsustainable is not the right way. Budget, stick to it...MM knew his budget when he took over.

So why pay Kenny Miller £25k a week if we are on a minimum budget :?:
Keep Hudson on £15k a week and buy Turner £700,00 + when we could save money on a young prem' league player :?:

He said "IF I was Tan" not that is what is currently happening.

And if that was the case and you would rather not have done either of them then we would be down 2 players and have 1 loan player in from Liverpool who plays left back. Correct me if im wrong, we need strikers

No thats not what im saying.
As far as im concerned MM has been given his budget and is dealing with it, I dont think that budget should go over. MM knows his budget so i have full faith in him to deal with who he wants when he wants.

I said IF i was Tan I would have made a lot more cut backs, im loving the way both MM and TG and Tan are doing things.
Just personally id like to see more cut backs.

Re: " ITS VERY SIMPLE "

L WAY - My point is if this is about saving money then look at what we would have saved at CB,by the transfer and wages.

If you want to talk about needing forwards - eg. Chops & McCormack would be on less than Miller & Earnshaw as a pair a week.

As for us being down by 1 CB - Why would we be :?: - from the eg. above we would have £15k a week + £700,00 + wages a week SAVED... 2 or more CB then could have been brought in - on the wage save :o
Gerrard - Keinan - Gyepes - Blake - Super Kev - have all played at CB - Do we need 2 New CB :?: (MORE MONEY SAVED )

The main point here is that MM has less money to play with than DJ = FACT.

Terry Burton was getting paid more as a Number 2 - than MM as our manager = SHOCKING

Malky Mackay is a Top Man :ayatollah: We and the board need to support and back our manager :ayatollah:

Re: " ITS VERY SIMPLE "

Im happy............. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

We lost today but nearly got a draw with 6 players out injured......I think malky has told the truth when he says either it dosent suit the club or the player but he shows he wont get any old body in....After beating southampton i was prepared for a loss today. Get our injuries back now after the international break and then its 12 weeks to the window and we still could get some loans in

So in my opinion at the moment thanks to the international break we are doing just fine and dont need to knee jerk with the loans.

4 POINTS FROM 2ND at the moment. Well Done blooobirds :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sven, I am chuffed that Malky is very fussy who he brings in, but a few players that he has gone for, money has been made available to him. Malky has turned out better than anyone could imagine, far better than I ever thought. We finally now have the perfect manager in my opinion, now he needs the tools to do the job. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

As I see this MM has money available to him, within his wage budget, however lots of these loans carry high fees attached to them and as that's money upfront "Cash" is that being made available. Unlike transfers where the fee can be paid over a number of years club nowadays expect the loan fee paid upfront.

We all know the Malaysians like to negotiate payments over a period of time rather than cash upfront today. If they believed in paying upfront they would allow MM to payoff some of the deadwood left from DJ squad, Gypes and Parkin are good examples. Parkin is on 40% more than Coventry were prepared to pay and the player insisted Cardiff pay the difference, but that would mean cash upfront so the player is still with us at £9k a week. Hopefully Doncaster will keep him for the rest of the season but if they don't MM will have to work with one hand tied behind his back.

Many of those who now insist that MM operate within the budget were the same people who supported DJ with all the keep him to the end of the season. Well last season that policy cost us millions, Parkin, Keinan, Koumas, Bywater, Brown, Naylor the list is endless but I can't remember many people saying DJ had to operate within the budget.

Thankfully that idiot is gone and the board have now appointed MM as their man to take the club forward so they should back him today, with cash, because thats what this is all about for me. Forget budgets as I'm sure money is available within MM budget what isn't there is the cash to pay the loans fees.

Crowds are already down 900 per match on average on last season when we were told signing CB made good business sense because of commercial benefits like shirt sales. The club paid CB more per week than any player in the history of our club and we were all delighted by that, but what did that do for the budget. Why was it OK for DJ to have that support but MM not? I don't get it and in my opinion the board need to find the cash to pay the loan fees.

Cash is the key to this and our board need to find some. :ayatollah:

DOOM AND GLOOM ALERT!
Surely the work ethic shown so far is enough for a top half finish, and malky will get loanees, but only the ones that suits both parties. We will average upwards of 20k this season, this club is going places.

No its not doom and gloom alert, its being realistic, look what happened at Watford when they never backed Malky. Lets see if you reply later on in the season. If you dont give Malky the tools you can not expect him to do the job. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The club had an average attendance above 23K last season are you saying losing 3k with the associated loss of revenue would show the club going forward.

Well I have to question the board and Malky why did they see fit to hold to the last min for a Bid for Bellamy and not use that 35 k a week wages on instead getting in 2 strikers, never mind the total cock up for selling Chopra (for which the Board needs shagging) Any Club needs 4 established strikers these days to mount a proper and sustained challenge and we haven't got them and The Club and Board are directly to blame for that with that hopeless last min bid for Bellamy .

The Club can see fit to make available 35 k a week for on player, bit not see fit to use that in getting 2 to 3 players in instead ?. We screwed up this transfer window, BIG time. I just hope we don't do the same again in Jan . Because you're right we have a good Manager and show all the signs of building a great team , but the Club and Malky made mistakes in the last Transfer window imo.
