Not really.

No where near as good as what they use to be.

You should come to Australia. We take our pies very seriously out here and are the best in the world in my experience. Sausage rolls are better in the UK though as they tend to be made with beef sausages out here. :ayatollah:

The pastry is the only good thing left on a Clarksie now, I think the filling has gone well down hill over the years. I buy two a day for my missus as she is addicted to them, but they have sod all meat in them now.. I tend to buy Ginsters now as they are rammed with filling be it a pasty or sausge roll.

Got to agree with you, lived on Mrs Mac's pies all the way down the East coast on first visit to Oz in 2001, Harry's Cart Du Wheels in Wooloomooloo does great pie and mash for the tourists, steak and cheese is one of my favourites.

You're right about the sausage rolls and I'm not that fussed on Emu sausages either, although I must admit, I am partial to a fresh good old Clarksie's pie and a pint of dark in God's country.
