Mark Hudson

Our best defender by a country mile last season and so far this season.

Everyone bangs on about Super Kev but Hudson is a far more importnat player for us IMO however doesnt get the credit because people dont like to admit they are wrong.

Was crucified in Lee Naylor proportions in his first season with us and to ram those insults down the critics gobs must be truly rewarding for him.

Well done Mark :ayatollah:

In your opinion, but coming from somebody who has referred to Miller as shit and complained about our standard of play this season, it's hard to take your opinions seriously. But a Better defender than Super Kev & Andrew Taylor, I don't think so!

As for centre backs, Gerrard has been far better than Hudson this season IMO! When Turner is fully fit and ready to play, I think you'll find that Hudson will end up with splinters on his arse, from warming the bench! :D :ayatollah:

Hudson was appointed Captain by MM, it will be gerrard that is dropped! and righly so as he cant pass wind!! and this super kev love in does my fuckin head right in!! he is not our best defender by a long way! he runs all day and gives 110% his positioning and ball distribution along with any sort of final product is sadly lacking!

Havent critiscised Miller and I stand by my style of play comments.

And I think you will find you will be wrong. Again.

As I said, it's all about opinions, which you seem to forget, as you type as if you're in a position to actually pick the team!

Think you'll find that youre probably in a better position than Gerrard to pass wind, as it's all you seem to do! ;) :) :D

Think both our CB's have been playing at a similar level. Keinan hasn't done anything as far as I can see to be pushing for a place and neither have been so appalling they need dropping.

This season goals For: 12 and goals against: 8 (failing to score twice and five cleans sheets)

At this point last season goals for: 14 and goals against: 7 (failing to score once and three clean sheets)

So our defence hasn't changed drastically, for better or for worse this season, if you take into account new manager and we are a considerably weaker team this season.

But i've never seen Turner, he could well be head and shoulders above our current pair so who knows.

Interesting stats as its claimed by some on here that our defence is far better under Malky.

Not sure too many have said that, our midfield is certainly better but we've suffered from injuries.

Gunnarson, Kiss and Coneway have already picked up injuries and that will have a knock on effect at the back. If you factor in the lack of an outlet up top and only one really out on out wide player with our fullbacks substituting for that and it is still early days. The defence is fine.

Agreed. It's our midfield that is the difference this year. in the last few years we've looked susceptable against any team with midfielders who are willing to get beyond the strikers, not anymore, our midfield at the moment look as strong as any midfield I can remember in a cardiff shirt

If you had posted this without the dig included it might have received a better reaction. Are you simply trying to wind people up?

I agree with you that Hudson has been pretty solid but the Brighton game showed him for his lack of pace. We need the right personnel and the right blend depending on the game we're playing. DJ was out and out 4-4-2 and wasn't flexible enough.

The thing with 4-5-1 is that you can get men forward to make a 4-3-3 and get men back to defend in numbers too. That's how most modern, successful teams play.

Howey, anyone who gets wound up by strangers opinions on the tinterweb need to either stop using it, or go nd have an angry wank and get it out of their system.

And lets be truthful we are seeing a lot more of the 451 than the 433.

Great 3 points and the effort is fantastic but lets not kid ourselves that we play like chelsea which ive seen in another thread.

I wasn't wound up by what you said mate. I just think you'd do yourself a favour by just posting your opinions without the digs that seem to accompany many of them. See it as friendly advice! ;)

And I didn't say we play like Chelsea but made the point as evidence that the system can work......and is in fact working for us right now.

I guess I would never have posted back if it was just about Huds!

Anyway, we're better than Chelsea.
