I was there, but can't remember much about it, when your young you tend to think things like European games like this are ten a penny, even the Real Madrid game didn't strike me as anything special and not until tears later did I take in the significance of such events.

Vaguely remember one European away game possibly in Russia, when two City fans drove over there on a 150cc Lambretta scooter, anyone out here expand on this recollection.

READING ON FURTHER IN THE PROGRAMME IN MENTIONS THE CITY PLAYING TORPEDO OF MOSCO THIS GAME WAS PLAYED IN A PLACE CALLED TASHKENT DUE TO HEAVY SNOW AND FREEZING CONDITIONS. DONT NO IF THIS WAS THE GAME OUR BRAVE MOD FANS VENTURED TO,I CAN SEE THEN NOW IN MY MINDS EYE PARKER COATS WITH TARGETS ON BACK, HAND KNITTED BLUE AND WHITE SCAF.
THE GAME WAS A DRAMA IN ITSELF OVER 3 ROUNDS .

I was just a kid myself and the only thing i remember was a Ronnie Bird special in a 1-0 win,trouble was we lost the first leg 3-0 so we went out.The Mocow Torpedo game was played in Tashkent which i think is in Georgia because of bad weather in Moscow,although some believed it was played there to make the trip more difficult for us.

Your memory's going since64, Tashkent is in Kazarkhstan not too far from the Chinese border if my memoryis still there!!

I think it is about far east as you go to play a "European" team, yep Tashkent have a team but I think their pretty shite so we won'tbe playing them any time soon.

I have the story about these guys though, thought there was four but could be wrong, from quite a few people over the years but none of these people know if the guys ever returned!!!
