Robert Barkers Caerphilly

Mon Sep 26, 2011 2:45 pm

Any of the older lads remember? I used to work there on a saturday in the early 90's when Tony was the manager; top bloke with a great eye for the labels and always a cracking shop window design. I think Tony originally worked for Rob in Blackwood?
Happy days :old:

What kind of stuff do they do in there? This is one of those places that I knew was was there, but it hasn't registered that they might do good clothes

I remember the Caerphilly Robert Barkers, it was on the corner of Peacocks Street, where Chicos Chicken is now. I used to pop in on my paper round as a kid. I can still remember a framed red La Coste polo t shirt on the wall. I saved my paper round money for months to get one. Great shop in its day :)

It's been back in Blackwood for about 4 years or so... a very decent shop... and Tony has seen sense and returned to Barkers after being in route for a while. Both Tony and Rob are great great guys. My mum used to work for Robert Barker and his 'friends' some time ago. Whenever I return to the Uk and visit my parents in Blackwood I always pop into Barkers and Tony always gives me a decent deal knowing I'm a poor NGO worker.

Excellent shops.... Two Stoned is a great label,
