I think he's just on about the fact that he won't be going for loan players just for the sake of it !
Sun Sep 25, 2011 11:09 pm
He also said injuries may change that.
As we found out with jls no point in loaning for the sake of it.

Well that depends if they can get the right players, if not it's jut money wasting and poor management.

The right loan signing can inject some confidence into the general public which would in turn make the club money through the increase of income. Bellamy alone put a good extra number on through the gate on his own last year ensuring that the club financially benefited from that move.
Totally agree but that's what I'm saying, they have to be the right players and not panic loans.

Who should we get in on loan Midfield General?

By the sound of his interview he had players lines up but they are no longer available.
Doesn't send any bad vibes from the boardroom to me.

c'mon Midfield General you're all for complaining, how about being constructive? The only name i've heard is Macheada and that hardly fills me with confidence, one good goal against Aston Villa in Fergie time 2 and a half years ago, hardly fills me with excitement. So who else is out there?

Im just saying I can't see any stand out players, if in line with MM's comments we need the 'right player' to improve us. Then Ebanks-Blake is one of a few that I could see. Right age, not getting games, right style etc. But there doesn't seem to be the glut that there once was. Teams are tightening their belts and that means less players.

I meant Prem teams tighten their belts, so less players to loan out.

Is the real reason that they aren't available because he doesn't have the funds..?
I have no reason to think either way. MM is the one saying he was looking at the loan market so I assume he has funds.
If he doesn't then let's go with what we have... I don't crave signings.

If we don't have the budget then we shouldn't. Fed up of spending money we haven't got.
If we don't have the budget then just go with what we have now... Doubt any of the injured players are lon term.
Bloody he'll DJ had wildig, Rae and Taiwo available for some games when we were under an embargo and still kept us playing.

I agree so as Ive mentioned previously if we don't have the money state that to be the case then we can all work together, fans included.
We
are all working together. The board brought Malky in, they gave him a free rein to
totally revamp the playing side of the Club. Monumental changes at this club in the last
few months. We are all working together. Ive not heard Malky mugging off the board.
I've not heard any of our directors slating the manager. The team have proved they are
willing to bust a gut for the manager, the club, and the fans. The fans are all chuffed
that they are seeing players giving 100% to the cause.
I used to work as a buyer, I have letters after my name (woop woop)... The golden rule
re: negotiating was... never ever let the other side know how much you have got to
spend, never let them know how much you are willing to pay, never let them know your
bottom line.
Do you suggest Cardiff City should do away with all these pretty basic negotiating principles
because Midfiel General is sulking and
really really wants to know???
