What kind of injury would keep a person from boarding a plane? The main character in a story I am working on needs to be stuck on a British estate for a few weeks due to an injury. It has to be something that will legitimately keep her there to further the story. I thought maybe a broken limb or maybe a concussion of some sort. I'm not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ear infection causing vertigo and dizziness. Otitis interna or labyrinthitis involves the inner ear. The inner ear includes sensory organs for balance and hearing. When the inner ear is inflamed, vertigo is a common symptom. Can take up to a month of
antibiotics to clear. ;)
