Malky has said he would like more players.

Personally I think we will get at least one, before the end of this month.
For the first time in over 6 years Malky has made me start to believe that our team/manager cares about our fans.
I also love his never say die attitude.
Give Malky at least 3 more players before Xmas and I honestly believe Malky will keep us in the top 6 all season

Maybe it was wishful reading on my part but I think Malky said he already had his targets but had to wait til end of Sept...will be hard for the fans to swallow if this doesn't come to fruition.

But yeah, I think this 5 sub rule has killed squads again tbh. If we sign 2 or 3 loans people like rudy and Mason will get pushed out when they should be on the bench.
Xmas will be the key time for players.

An interesting question is do we need to incur the expense of loans now.

As teams can use less subs and the Premier League has squad limits there are players out there.

We could always adopt the original purpose of the loan system and wait until a player is injured or loses form, then borrow someone to replace them. Not perfect, but viable.

Could even be a better approach in someways e.g. we recently had our two defensive midfielders out, so borrow one at the time!

That was dj's excuse for 5 seasons annis we didnt have the numbers when we failed after a few players out lets home MM dont have to come up against the same thing i just hope we get 3-4 players in as fast as possible myself weather hes getting the boards backing or not it dont look good really otherwise there would be 3-4 more players in already after all the season started last month

I have a mate who is a Bolton Wanderers fan and he keeps telling m e we are in for Tom Eaves on loan, the player injured his knee in a pre season friendly against Orlando City but is now back in training.

Owen Coyle wants to send him out on loan to a Championship club for experience, Burnley and Blackpool are also sniffing around for a player very highly thought of at Burnley. A tall centre forward with a eye for goal if not very good at taking penalities.

Scored 5 goals in the PL Reserve Northern Section A last season only 3 less than one Fabio Borini at Chelsea so looks something of a prospect.

I'd give Miller and Mason a go first.

Kenny Miller has not been given an opportunity to play in the 'poachers' role
yet. When he gets the chance, he'll be brilliant. Mason will drag defenders
all over the shop.

We are lacking a natural leader of the line up front. Gestede may well prove
to be that type of player, but he's not ready quite yet.

We definitely need cover for Craig Conway. He is our only natural winger
and if he gets injured it will f**k up our whole formation. We need one
wide player out there.

definetly need a pacy winger and quality forward for me,unfortunately both are very hard to come by but 100% believe in malkys judgement and the worst case scenario would be loan players who are brought in and drag the team down just for the sake of having "options" the loan system can be vital if used correctly though
