I needed to post something on this, as the reaction tonight is nothing more than pathetic.

Just for the record I have never personally met Annis, or Carl, before anyone jumps on board and suggests that I am close with them.

The upshot is that these 2 guys stated that they had the biggest "update/news" for us yet. OK, I was disappointed too, it was not what I expected and was not big news for me....

The way people have jumped on this and tried to ram it down their throats is ridiculous. Get things into perspective, they have not robbed you of money or possessions, they have not attacked a member of your family, they have just overstated what they thought was very important news. Big deal get over it....

The fact that so many people were on here tonight, waiting for the update they thought they were going to get, actually displays the respect that people give to Carls updates. They must hold them in high regard, otherwise why would you be here waiting?

The update was not what you expected......hardly crime of the century is it?

These guys give up so much of their own personal time for this message board, and to receive shit like they have tonight for making what is in the scheme of things a minor error of judgement, is absolutely PATHETIC.

To be honest I don't even think it was a minor error on their part. I just think it was a very clever way of generating huge interest for the messageboard.

I think that something must have happened in the past 24 hours and that whatever Carl had originally wanted to post became impossible to post for whatever reason. There is simply no way that an interview with the Riddler would be the biggest news we've ever seen on this board. Plus, Annis even downgraded the hype about the post from our most important piece of news ever to "a very interesting read". When I connect all the dots all I can think of is that there is massive news out there going on and it is not being shared because somebody doesn't want it out there or because the news has taken a drastic turn and is no longer news worthy. The real question for me is "why hold the info back?". It's obvious that in the past few months things that would normally be posted on this site are now not being posted. So the question becomes..."is Malky, or somebody at the club killing out beloved board by not allowing those in the know to post what they talk about?". Whether that is good or bad for the club is not for me to say. I enjoy this board and the updates/news and will continue to do so. I appreciate the effort put in by all the mods and all the posters but when hype doesn't match the expectations, I feel the need to dig deeper. Perhaps in the next few days we'll find out what was really going to be posted in the first place. Thanks to Carl and Annis for all that you do in spite of hype not matching my expectations, I enjoyed the interview!

It was an interview with an ex chairman of CCFC. If anybody expected him to be truthful then more fool you. I think Annis and Carl both know they blew this up far to much out of proportion for what it was. Wow what a kunt/s eh? I for one couldnt give a f,uck about what ridsdale has to say. People must realize that these guy's put this out there for debate, thats all. It depends on how much you're imagination takes you i guess.

these guys went and got a one on one with peter risdale and asked probing questions about our club and how it has been run in the last 5 years, the biggest 5 years of the modern day for this club, if that isnt big news i dont know what is !!

only plastics who arnt interested in the club and how it is run would take offense and be upset with this.

i agree with cristol there must be some ''big news'' but carl and annis are holding back what it is i dont know. but annis was wrong by saying explosive news , biggest ever news ect... but he could of taken all them statements to protect the club for a reason, we are all disapointed but good things come to those who wait!

I doubt it. You see, the importance of the content in these 'updates' are a matter of personal opinion and many (far more people DON'T jump on to the 'slating bandwagon' than do) will continue to read and support Carl's updates with great interest for a long time to come

The only question that didn't receive a 'measured' response was the one regarding the 'Golden Ticket' fiasco and anyone with even an ounce of appreciation of the legalities involved would understand that it was impossible to give an answer whilst legal proceedings are in progress. The Riddler did hint rather obviously he wasn't alone in the decision making and that others within the club have left him adrift

Until any of you can gather the (usually FACTUAL) amount of information on the goings-on at our club then I suggest you back-off a little and just be grateful that someone out there (specifically Carl, but one or two others as well) are keeping us informed AS BEST THEY CAN ALLOWING FOR THE FACT THAT THINGS OFTEN CHANGE VERY QUICKLY IN FOOTBALL!!
