Well said.
In some ways i'd rather go back to the 80s and 90s when a home cup tie v leicester would have attracted a big crowd. Who will forget beating Chelsea 2-1 in cupo with Nicky Platnauer scoring. Sadly the plastics on here will never have heard of the great Nicholas Platnauer...

Blond highlights! Him and Graeme Withey with his Limahl haircut. Those were the days when as a teenager i loved going on the bob bank and watching 11 players giving 100%

The biggest news to come from Carl's piece is that the club have obviously tied up loose tongues.
As for the content, it's interesting to get PR's side of things even if they still sound like spin.
People are kicking off because the, now deleted, thread that started all the excitement talked of exceptional content. You can see why people had higher expectations. Perhaps we expect too much.

If I was Einstein then maybe I should have worked out this was going to happen hmmmm...![]()
I'm not kicking off but just disappointed with the big build up, being let down and then lied to by Annis. He's now owned up to jumping the gun a little so let's move on.

Remember it well. Standing on the Bob Bank. Great atmosphere but I think if you check you will find the crowd was only about 8000. Still that was a big crowd for us in those days.

I'm amazed Annis hasn't responded to this as that very game and Platnauer's goal get a mention in 'My Story'![]()
To be honest Gareth we have to remember that half of City's support weren't even born then (yes I am implying to are an old git), so that might explain why they don't know who Nicky Platnauer is

Crowd was 8012 or something and Chelsea were in Block A of Grandstand. The following weekend it was back to the usual 3500....
