Was superb Saturday, even ran off an injury in the second half.

He must have 3 Shredded Wheat for breakfast with all the running he does.

Dai, If Jones had had players like Cowie when he was manager we would of been in the Premier by now, Malky only likes passionate/fighters on the pitch, never say die :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Mackay got his tactics spot on on Sat, we were robbed of the three points. Gunnarsson and Kiss were also immense in the middle of the park and will only get better. So if we can strengthen the squad within this loan window period then i feel we can push on andhave a real chance of a top six spot. :ayatollah:

Picking up a player like Don on a free is just outstanding. Going to be a major player for us in years to come. Well done :ayatollah:

Don Cowie must be easily worth 3m at todays prices. Meaning Malkys total
outlay this summer has already been covered, with 500k to spare

Add these assets:

Whittingham (3.5m)
Turner (2m?)
McNaughton (1.5)
Cowie (2.5m)
Conway (2m)
Gunnarsson (2m)
Marshall (800k?)
Earnshaw (500k)
Miller (500k)
Mason (1m)
Gestede (500k)
Gerrard (750k)
Hudson (500k)
Taylor (1.5m)

Guess what, our playing staff is worth over 20 million, all tied down and under contract
and they all WANT to spit blood for the shirt and the manager... and US

Its an amazing turnaround from the day Dave Jones left.

Incredible when you think about it.

f**k me. I wanna shag Malky

Funny though how when Jay used to chase for the ball mostly out wide he got even more abuse for doing that and not being in the middle. ATM te main thing we lack is Jay.

As for cowie he was excellent. Conway and gunarrson were better though.... I think this points out how well we played.

Same kind of position out wide but with gunarrson and kiss central and witts just infront of them it gave him that bit more freedom to get about and forward.

As you say the different midfield pairing must have helped him improve his game then

I don't think it changed massively. He can pass, tackle and works likes mad but he isn't going to beat a man and whip a ball in like Conway. But kiss and gunarrson allowed him to get forward like for the goal.
Id like to see him central but we have so many options in the middle but only one wide player with Conway.

To be fair, Jay got slagged off because he'd drift out to pick the ball up, lay
it off, then stand and applaud himself. It was only those first few weeks with
Bellamy on his case that Bothroyd was giving and going, thats where his goals
came from. When Miller gets out wide, there seems to be a midfielder ready
to take the ball off him within seconds.. and we whip it straight into the box
a lot cos we also got midfielders and Earnie attacking the penalty area
