the best bait for carp is without doubt boilies, boilies and more boilies.

full of protein and they love em ;)

dog biscuits are a very good bait but work much better in the hot summer months when the fish are cruising around on the surface

Dog biscuit or bread (try magic bread from your tackle shop - brilliant stuff) when its hot and they feeding on top otherwise any flavour boilies, bunch of maggots, worms, sweetcorn, pellets (Halibut or shrimp pretty good also Betane green will catch u few. Dependant on where your fishing can also use several type of nuts and pulses and also give it a go with Luncheon meat or bacon grill. Another good tip get a punch and make your own pellets from potato punched and soak em in coffee and a bit of gravy browning - dynamite stuff. Easiest option for you would be get yourself some method feeders. Also take a look on you tube lots of video tutorials on there with top fishermen like Bobb Nudd, Matt hayes, John Wilson etc - tight lines butt :ayatollah:

A lot will depend on the venue.
Best to ask someone who fishes it often.
Local advice is the best advice you can get. ;)

Boiles, boiles and boiles, revolutionised Carp fishing when they were invented. Go for a Zig Rig and bright floresent pop up :D

Ive always found cat meat works well this time of year, it depends wether you're bagging or sitting it out for a big-un. Prefer bagging up myself. But boilies are good, but are banned on some venues. As winter comes corn comes into its own to. :ayatollah:

Its all in the feeding ;)

Spicy sausage, they love it especially in the winter months when they are not too accommodating. Bird seed mixed in with ground bait as well.
