I loved Holloway when he was in the prem last year but he's turned into a right old git since he got relegated

Never liked him and disliked him since Blackpool lost in the cup to Southampton last season. Holloways ego has got the better of him.

Just watched his posts match interview he said he felt like a burglar as he thought Cardiff should have won the game and Blackpool picked our pockets. Thought Cardiff played well but were not excellent and he was disappointed by his team and himself.
He had a real dig at Tucker about an article suggesting Cardiff were on a "Revenge" mission following the playoff final, he said articles like that showed no responsibility because 2 years ago there were 2 good teams playing their hearts out and it fell Blackpools way. He said the press should get over it, it's football and it happens just get over it.
He said today there were 2 proud clubs, 2 good teams with 2 great sets of supporters giving it everything and the last thing it needed was am irresponsible article suggesting the match was anything other than a football match. he suggested the local press have a good long look at themselves.
he may have a point but for me it was all lost when he said "I have friends down there" (DJ) who told him about the article. Our local press did nothing different to every media outfit anywhere in the world that's life Ollie I suggest you get over it. Also stop defending your mate DJ he had his chance here and didn't take it so he was sacked, it's football it happens get over it.
He also said he tried to bring Rob Earnshaw to Blackpool and Rob decided to go to Cardiff then he Ollie had to watch him sit on the bench all match when, in his opinion, he should have been on the field. Well Ollie Rob Earnshaw is a grown man who makes his own decisions and just face it he was NEVER going to pick Blackpool ahead of Cardiff. That's football Ollie get over it. And by the way MM picks the team at Cardiff not you or your mate DJ so keep your beak out of it. He also had a dig about 30 Cardiff fans running around the town centre the night before but for me he had completelt lost it by then and it only served to show he had completely lost it by then.
The thing is here he had just seen his team, put together on a budget supported by PL parachute payments, completely outplayed by Cardiff and he personally had been completely outthought by our manager MM. Thats happens in football and you need to get over it Ollie because after that interview you look a complete pratt.
Best advice I could give you is GET OVER YOURSELF your not that important and truth is you never were.

Quality rant Castleblue! Spot on.
He sounded like a brat in the interview.
We need to steamroll Blackpool at home.

I was in the Press Room after the game and was a bit surprised by Ian Holloways remarks. I think Steve Tucker was equally taken aback.
Apparently there had been some sort of article in the papers on Friday saying that we wanted revenge and somehow that was cross referenced with a scuffle on Bloomfield Road the night before when, allegedly, 30 people went on the rampage.
Well Im not denying we wanted revenge. But I think we wanted revenge "On the Field" and not off it - and I think Steve Tucker was surprised by Ollies interpretation of what was written.
Its Blackpool at the end of the day. I used to work there. Scuffles take place most days of the week - and not all of them are football related

ST need look no further than DJ if he wants to know where Ollie got his interepretation of the article, but having said that overall his interview made him look a bitter prat.
MM was pure class in comparison.

Maybe Holloway is pissed because we sacked his best mate. And would not admit we played better without that up himself tw*t.
Sun Sep 18, 2011 6:41 pm
Holloway always loved the sound of his own voice. Problem was last season the Prem inspired media, sickeningly, loved him as some sort of vaudeville act after the main course had been eaten. Basically he believed his words had more importance than they actually did. He, for me, had been, at best, tiresome for ages. Saturday's explosion followed his team being completely outplayed, his tactics made impotent and his ego exposed.

Obviously in the minority here, but I enjoy Holloway's contributions. He strikes me as an honest, passionate person who, having read his book, has had plenty of setbacks to try to overcome. A few years back, when he was still QPR manager, I remember him doing the Ayatollah when asked by the departing fans at Ninian Park, when he was being a pundit in the old TV gantry at the corner of the Canton and Bob Bank. One of the very few characters left in the game, and good luck to him.

I actually stayed in Bloomfield Rd on Friday night, did not see or hear of any Cardiff fans rampaging through there all day or night.
Mon Sep 19, 2011 4:32 am
It was a back-handed swipe at Malky actually.
Suggesting that had he played Earnie, we'd have beaten them.
Well, sorry, Holloway... Your team got totally outplayed, we were firing
shots in on goal at will, we had three times as many corners as you did,
far more possession. On another day we'd have got five!!
That formation would not have worked with Earnie up top.
Shows how much Holloway knows about football, the bitter c**t

Holiest will be hearing from. Me this week after what happened to my little girl. He is responsible as a manager for the actions of his players on the pitch. My complaint is real.
