why does ticket office close at 2 on saturday

i thought i would go in and get my ticket for the cup game,unfortunately i turned up at 3.15,so ticket office shut,and just wondering why the weekend before a midweek game they cannot stay open till club shop times

cos they wanna watch or listen to the games!!! 
maybe they think nobody will come out as we are listening or watching the 3pm kick off
