Ft: 1-1. An absolitely fantastic perf; we shld hv hd 10! Exc attacking football. We kept going to the end. Joy to see we hv a flexible manager. We played 4411 with Whitts behind Miller. Under DJ we wld hv played a rigid 442 and conceded 3 goals after the equaliser. KM hd his best game for us; they scrd a goal out of nthg. Things r lkg up. As I said w shld hv got a hat-full! 1,700 City fans here surely.

Well done lads!!
As u say it's looking promising in all areas

The proof in the pudding is that our midfield streamed forward at will and had shot after
shot on goal. That proves that Kenny Miller did a great job up there as a link man, when
you consider its NOT his normal game, the man just has to be given credit. Yes it appears
he missed a very good chance, but anyone who thinks Earnie could play that lone role is
sadly mistaken. I've never listened to an away game before where the home team were
kept so quiet by our defence. All credit to Phillips, quality goal from nothing, one of them
things you cant really defend against, but we were well worth three points today. We are
going to start thrashing teams soon cos of our energy and fitness levels

Just on my way back from the game and we played them off the park!
The whole team worked hard & played superbly!
Miller was unlucky with his one one one, as it was a tight angle and on the wrong side of the goal for a right footer!
If it had been a boxing match, Blackpool would have been counted out at half time!

Listened on the radio and it did seem we were pretty much all over them - could hear all you boys singing your hearts out!!
Well done to the team and the fans

Kiss played extremely well. For a defensive midfielder his passing and forward play is above average. He also likes to get stuck in. Gunner and Kiss played a solid pairing allowing Whitts a free role behind Miller. Well done City.

Sounds promising by the game!
We are still re-building and geling and people dont realise that!
It will come to that game where we have a cricket score against someone and then we will kick on!
We need to take our chances and getting a few more goals and be amazing!
Need to stop conceeding away from home after we score! Work on that ill be 10 times happier1

Kiss and Gunnarsson are self confessed 'defensive minded' midfielders, yet they
both support the attack and neither are afraid to go box to box. That gives our
defence lots of cover. I werent there today, but it sounded like we were barely
troubled by Blackpool, some feat against an ex premiership team playing at home.
Holloway was very honest when he admitted that we were the better team. He
was pretty complimentary. We are very close to being better than the rest

Great display by the team, think we are going to give some team a right hammering before long. thought CONWAY was outstanding, but a great TEAM effort and great support by us.

We need someone to put the ball in the net the headers won by Gerrard and Hudson if won by a forward we could have cruised the game

Role on the next away day

superb performance, gunnarsson man of the match for me,he looks something special.aggressive tackling combined with crisp passing and excellent vision.Conway absolutely ran himself into the ground, you could see the boy was exhausted but he gave it everything he had.Andrew taylor looks the best left back weve had in a long time. Great tactical plan by malky to go with a 4-5-1 and i agree with the posts that compliment millers efforts in a role hes not completely used to.
a special m,ention to for rudy gestede ,he was literally aching to get on the pitch ,thats the desire weve been looking for in the last few seasons.Unfortunately it was one magical moment by kevin phillips that cost us a deserved 3 points
excellent away support as always

How many times have i told you Chief !! Stop looking at yourself in the mirror all the time

Thought it was a travesty that we only took a point from yesterday. Great performance, great atmosphere and great night out. As always the stewards and local cops tried to spoil it, why can't they take a f**k to themselves?
Just up the door, good to meet some old and new faces. Look forward to Hull now

Anybody know the lads that stayed over in Preston as Blackpool was: "a shit hole!"?
Bumped into one lad whose mates had left him... Decent lad and had a good discussion about football culture.
We had a good drink, and we departed at about 2.30am and he was still dancing the night away!

4 - 5 - 1 with a midfield as mobile and fluid as ours could prove to be our
secret weapon for the season. I can see us using that system away from
home quite a lot. So we do need a natural target man. That does not mean
he has to be 6ft 6".
