Does anyone know any good DJs?

Fri Sep 16, 2011 1:16 pm

I need to book a DJ for the reception party at our wedding next year.

I'm not looking for any of the old fellas who've been doing for it 20+ years, I want someone whos got a modern feel for things and will also be happy to work with a list of requests - me an the Missus (and the majority of all our mates) who will be there like our Dance music so he's got to fit the bill...don't get me wrong we know its our wedding so we don't want it like Evo back in the day but you know what I mean! :D

Any recomendations?

NPK Entertainment South Wales do a cracking set. And they do all their own lighting ect.

Paul is the guy who does it, and is a very nice guy with a reasonable price. :ayatollah:

Try Steve R on the other board.

Also, if you are interested in a live music performance please see (My wife) http://www.elisa1.co.uk/

I am sure we could do a deal for a fellow Bluebird ;)

Speaking as an ex Dj who has done it or over twenty years i think you stand a great chance of pissing off
75% of your audience and having a crap night if you book what you suggest.

Whats the point of havig a feel for a younger audience when the average age of your audience will be about 45

I can just hear your garnny aunts Uncles parents and your partners family saying at 9.30

"going home am I too loud in there"

How the f**k do you know what the average age of the 'audience' will be! it will be in fact a lot younger than you would think tbh.

And the typical live band that is so popular at weddig receptions these days has exactly the type of effect you describe because of the sheer aggresive nature, volume wise, of a live set.

Like I said I obviously don't want it like Evo back in the day (although that would be amusing :D ) just upbeat and modern...the oldies love the tunes mun anyways ;)
