A forum for all things Cardiff City

As you can imagine being arrested in connection with this tragic incident was traumatic and one fan has contacted the Football Supporters Federation to discuss this and they have asked me to post this message off the lad concerned...he wishes to remain anonymous at this very sensitive time
First and foremost may I give my condolences to the family and friends of Mikey Dye. What is most important is how they feel.
I have shared my dreadful experience with the FSF and am posting this message as I feel that having it posted on both message boards will allow me to overcome the nightmare I have endured this week.
For obvious reasons I wish to remain anonymous. I trust the FSF and am thankful for their support. I am a Cardiff City season ticket holder and football is a big part of my life. I often read both message boards but never post.
I was one of the six people arrested over the tragic incident at Wembley on Tuesday night. I have been cleared, and the police will not be taking the incident any further.
Before the game I met two of my friends (who were going to be seated in the England section) but we became separated at a very busy London station. As a result of this separation I had to make my way to the match on my own. I arrived late (just missing kick off) and had no knowledge of the incident. I kept myself to myself during the match.
Towards the end of the game a group of five men (none of which I knew or had any association with) were taken from the stand by the police. They then proceeded to select me from the crowd and I was escorted from the stand.
What happened next will remain with me. It was an extremely worrying time for myself, my family and my friends. I have spoken in detail with the FSF about my experience and they also found it distressing to listen to what I had been through.

Very interesesting, it shows the Police have been pretty useless so far.
Let's hope they catch the real culprit

To be fair he was treated well by the police but he was inside over 25 hours and it was a huge concern to family and friends....he knew he was innocent but it was still an ordeal...lets pray the catch the real culprit asap.

Glad he is sorted now as he is innocent but to be honest I would prefer 5 innocent people spend 25 hours behind bars were the tosser who attacked Mike got caught. I would say this were I to be arrested too.

Poor sod, the Police may have treated him well & rightly so but why hold the man for 25hours if he was totally innocent which I 100% agree he is. Surely with the 200 CCTV's at Wembley they had caught the culprit by now or was it easier to point fingers at the Welsh fighting each other which was not the case. I think it stinks and Im convinced if it was a English killed by a Taff he'd have been caught by now.

There are some great police officers out there but as I know first hand there are also those coppers in the job who are not interested in finding the persons responsible but only in getting "a result". Hopefully Mikey will get some decent police dealing with his case.
