Ive just come from there, great tributes to a great guy. I have alot of respect for swansea after this.

Be good to see both clubs tell the Sun, The Mail and the Mail on Sunday to go do one. They are not welcome in South Wales.

There's good and bad all over the country. Ironically it is in the bad times that the good show up. Respect to all fans who have paid their tributes to Mikey Dye.

Unity between us and the jacks has been pleasing to see, not just the ones on here, but planet swans when i have looked have been very respectful, as we were when a fan of theres passed away a few months back, it proves there is more to life than football.
Also the fans from other clubs who have signed up to post messages of condolonces to Mikeys family, good to see!

Never thought I would say this in a million years but I agree. This has really made me take a step back and think about what is important in life. Yes football is and always will be a massive part of my life but f**k me, a man is dead and I'm banging on about some petty rivalry because someone supports another football team.

Ive stated clearly how much Ive respected them over the last few days, credit where it is due.

Fairplay...massive respect for that. I didn't know Mikey, but I can only assume he would be proud of the coming together of fans, especially us an the Jacks, since that tragic night.

Its important that none of all this is in vain and not only the Welsh football community unite, but we unite against a disgusting media outlet in the guise of The Sun. Lets ensure his legacy is a positive one and totally destroys the perception that some of the tabloids have tried to create. I'm sure that with great friends like Annis and other boys off this forum, that positive legacy will definitely be driven for years to come.

Our fellow Bluebird was tragically unlucky that night, but in a way he could count himself lucky to have so many people in support of him and looking out for him both in life and death, with seemingly a great family also. I suppose we all have a role to play in ensuring this is utilised to the full and we uphold his name - we're all in this together, the Cardiff City family.

Hiya mate, was surreal mate turning up just after like we did. When Vince said who it was and how serious it was football went out of the window. I knew Mikey to say hello too but was and still am close to a couple of his good mates. Strange how these things affect people.

Fully deserved respect for a fellow football fan, its been on my mind all week and I didn't even know the lad. Must be awful for his friends and family with him going to the football and never coming back. The picture of his lad in today western mail really hit home aswell so sad.

On another note let's hope the mutual respect stays in place for years to come and the jibes some of your lot dish out about terry comes stop following this. No fan deserves their fate.

Well said. Sadly i have followed a link to evening post site (thisissouthwales) and 2 out of the 3 comments on there are slagging Mikey off. I guess that the 2 people who posted the comments believe what they have read in the sun or mail.

Football is only a game. I have never been involved in violence but i have said many a stupid comment about rival fans/players. Life is way too short.

Take no notice of the comments on there its well known for sad cunts with no life just trying to stir up shit. Good post. The journalists who write this shit forget that there are human beings involved with feelings. As football fans you are i could have been attacked at the turnstiles. If i died i'm sure would the sun have trawled through my personal life and found my conviction for speeding and then read my facebook statuses and crucified me for following ccfc. They wouldnt give a shit for my mrs and kids. Utter scum.
