I still think we will finish in the top six and might even sneak an auto spot.

It can only be an OPINION based on what fans think about the players we have signed...personally I think 2 strikers in the loan window and we will definitely be top 8 at least but again that is just my opinion

Malky's way, and the work ethic he preaches within the team during training and match day will be worth an extra player if you compare it to last seasons efforts on the pitch in many games, however I do agree that we need to bring in some cover in one or two areas. Players WILL get injured, that's a cert.

This season is all about consolidation in my opinion. It's time to regroup and plan carefully for the future.

We had two big pushes for the Prem, and failed. DJ's gone, and Malky has taken a broom to the cupboard. He's brought in a few good signings (Cowie, Conway, Earnie, Miller...) and booted a few out. I think he'll be looking to build solid foundations this season, in order to push forward next season.

I'd expect a loan or two in January, and a few signings next summer. Mid table wouldn't be an out and out disaster in my opinion, but i still think we're capable of finishing top 10.

All things going well, we might be in a position to talk seriously about a push for the Prem next season. I don't see it happening this season though.

no team, in this division, is looking at consolidating, every team in here is pushing for the play offs. everybody wants a chance and a good run in. things start to change as the season goes on but at the start every team wants to.

MM has even said challenging hte top 6 is his priority this season, not next season

And he should be setting his stall out to challenge and finish in the top 6, i wouldn't expect any different, but the reality might be having to accept a consolidatory position, which won't be a disaster in my opinion.

Having an eye on the long term, instead of the now, is our best plan of attack.

yeah theres a big difference, if we dont make top 6 this season, we can understand why, but if we didnt make it last season we would of hit the roof !!
