He must of known MG - Would have been a question to ask before he signed and left Watford ( imo ).

I dont see why they would have lied, he has spent money and backed with wages. MM has stated over and over again he plans to look once the window closes.

Well things do change very quickly in the world of business and football. I would say lied but maybe mislead..? What if he's perfectly happy, he could have spent the day chasing and trying to deal but went hop by 5pm by all accounts and went out for food. You've supposed the answer here and decided even if MM told you personally that he's 100% happy that "he's a genuine guy and [you] will never get the truth"
