And it's taken you how long to work this out exactly?

everyone knows footballers are killing the game, players like modric nasri are current examples. they have too much power and contract smean nothing.
i blame the clubs though. if they didnt spend so much money on wage, get themsleves into debt, they wouldnt need to sell the player even if the player demanded to go, they could afford to make him sit out his contract in the reserves, these days they cant afford to and its there own fault

i think everyone is fully aware of this, but would we all not fill our boots if given the chance.

If you don't like footballers, then don't go to games. Do you actually go? Still see loads of people down the City who have been going all along. Our crowds are better than they have been since the late 60s early 70s.

No they're not, Sky money is killing the game. If they didn't pump so much in, the players wouldn't be asking so much. I think they have the right to ask for large chunks of what's available because they are the ones who are essentially providing the product. But players weren't like this before that money. They didn't swan around in Ferraris at 20 years old, boot deals were worth hundreds of pounds, not hundreds and thousands of pounds.
Agents are also killing the game. Players are generalkly happy at the clubs they're at until they step in. If a player doesn't move, they don't earn. It still baffles me why clubs pay agents. This should be down to the player. They're parasites, the lot of them

i agree on the agent bits.
however the players are fair to ask for a chunk of the sky money etc, but they are asking for too big a chunk and thats the problem

But tyhat's not their problem, it's the clubs who should say no.
I read an interesting statement regarding spoilt players a few years ago. "The only people who ever say no to players are referees". Maybe this could explain some of the problems in the game

After short career, this contract will see him through to retirement now, so I think he's entitled to ask for a contract which will provide security for him and his family. Wouldn't you?

I would be money grabbing as well if it could set me up for life. Until the supporters start fighting back by not paying the high ticket fees, then this will carry on forever. If fans dont go to matches then where will the wages come from?

from SKY, that is the biggest reason the players are overpaid

the players are partly to blame aswell, modric actually telling someone like harry redknapp he doesnt feel like playing today is an absolute disgrace
