They also have a lo of people still on 50k a week....it's not about money, its about that one player to make us next level, I'm afraid I don't see anything in the squad this year apart from a firmer back four to tell me even top 10... I'm worried.

I was initially feeling deflated too. But on reflection, I think it's a blessing in disguise to not have that "marquee signing". Marquee signings do bring a buzz, but they also bring with them a high level of expectation and pressure, which eventually spoils the atmosphere and enjoyment of watching city like it did last season. Our foes down west wales got to the promised land without any marquee signings.

exactly, we've had big names coming out of our fcukin ears for the past few years and where did it get us??

Did Blackpool have big names? did Burnley? Norwich? Swansea? To get out of this league you need discipline,belief, stamina and a great team ethic. All much more important that a couple of stellar signings.
