What's Everyones Thoughts?

On the season so far, 5 games in?

Not quite a milestone, however we've seen enough games now to make sound judgement on the culture Malky is setting within the club, team ethics, style of play, formations, & personnel.

Based on the evidence so far, what does everyone think is a realistic target for us this season? Considering current resources, our competitors and potential transfer dealings?

Generally speaking, how happy is everyone overall as City fans at this point?

To answer the above myself, I'm more than happy & also genuinely optimistic. Malky has directed a complete overhaul of culture within the club, immediately strengthening the relationship with us the fans, consequently creating true unity within all aspects at the club. An attribute we're all aware needs to present to achiee promotion.

The general comsensus on this forum has been we're a couple of quality signings away from having a squad capable of truly contending for promotion, in whatever guise. I believe Malky will deliver that vital sprinkle of quality required for a long and challenging Championship campaign, and the next few days will definitely be interesting ones IMO.

Overall, a great time to be a City fan. Theres great pride being put back into the jersey and being projected from the stands, all accompanied with a bright future being orchestrated by one of the country's hottest young managers.

Well done to all those who travelled to Pompey also, from speaking to a couple of the boys who went the turn out was again very decent and the noise levels were consistent with our reputation as Cardiff fans - this was reflected in Andrew Taylors post match tweet, and the pictures on tele certainly backed this up

I've always thought that It'll be the reverse of what we've been used to in recent seasons.(start well but ultimatley fall away)I'm more than happy with the start we've made given the circumstances and I'm sure as the season goes on we'll improve.

I'm going to give my opinion after 10 games.

There is nothing concerning me at the moment although the Brighton game was a scare. At least we have bounced back from that unlike the present regime where we would have gone on a terrible run.

It is difficult to say where we will end because although most say we need a couple of signing and we will be at least play off material, other clubs will be saying the same. It is all going to come down to who signs who. Interesting couple of weeks ahead.

I'm waiting til bout 10 games in before I judge.

So far so good, even if this is a consolidation season I think that Malky has done a bang tidy job. Miller will come good and Earnie is yet to be firing on all cylinders but once that cohesiveness and cominacation is there we will be a tidy unit with real playoff potential. Depending on who we bring in in the next couple of weeks will be the icing

Lets just prey that injuries are rare as we dont have any real strength in depth for a few key positions

I think we def need a bit of luck on the injury front...however with Gunarsson, Kiss, and McPhail returning after the international break they will feel like new signings when we kick off September

I prefer it to the Jones teams least they are giving it there all. noo bothroyd etc

I am happy so far and feel positive, I would like to think we will have something to play for at the end of the season. Still early days , I hoping for two or more players in the next few days , might even put a bet on then
