Darcy Blake

Why is he so highly rated by some on here. His inconsistancy is his weakness which makes him a league one plyer at best. IMO.

Lets get this right Darcey is a cracking player but he does like the piss a bit to much. He could be a far better player he he cut that side of his life out. He has plenty of time for that when his playing career ends. He really got fit when he was at Plymouth because taken away from New Tredegar.

I think Darcy gets far too much stick in my opinion, Always gives 100% and just needs to concentrate on one position and have a run of games there.

Agree with Bowmonster, he's being shipped all over the shop. Whenever he's had a run of games in one position he's done a job. He's not the best, granted, but he's a decent player. Championship standard but nothing more. I do think he'd be better off at a club where he'd get more regular first team football mind. Somewhere like Barnsley or Doncaster.

Why does Darcy get so much stick for?

He has played LB, CB, RB and MF and thats very hard to do.

If he was asked to play in one position all the time, he would be more accomplished in that role

A mate of mine used to play in the academy and was telling me that Darcy was a better player than Rambo but because he kept on getting moved about he never settled.

Give the lad a break. He's moved all over the shop. And it managers want to use him like that then fair enough. Proof that at least, he is a good utility player. I would like to see him get a run in the team.

Would have been an interesting experiment putting him in midfield with Whitts. Let Darcy win the ball, lay of to Whitts for the play making.

he played 120 minutes against huddersfield and 90 minutes against pompey... and you say he's not fit why?

Only an idiot (and we got plenty of those on here) would judge ANY of our
players on last season, or the Jones' years. Blake was normally slagged off
for being fat and unfit. Well he certainly did enough running against Pompey.
He's also slagged off for giving the ball away all the time... well, again, not
a great deal of evidence on Saturdays showing. He played very well.

Ive not seen ONE post here where anyone has 'praised Darcy to f**k'...

But those saying he's improved, and looking a good squad player, would be
right
