Points

For those who went would you say that was 2points dropped or a point gained. Still conceding late goals, is this concentration or are we not good enough at the back?
Think the ship is sailing in the right direction though, next few games are all winnable so should be onwards and upwards now :ayatollah:

2 points dropped tbh we went ahead and just seemed to die out of the game giving away stupid goals and we did waste a handful of chances and got the penalty decision against us. But we still played well through the majority of the game imo so yeah happy with a point. :D :ayatollah:

I would agree that it was two points dropped.

We struggled all afternoon against the high balls kicked and thrown into our box but once we got in front we should have been able to see out the game for three points.

I would not like to watch Portsmouth every week - Cotterill has obviously modelled his team on Stoke. Tall, aggressive players who play mostly route one football and who's main attacking force is a long throw from anywhere beyond the half way line.

With Kitson and Lawrence in his team he's clearly a big fan of the Stoke philosophy.

Unfortunately it doesn't look as if Marshall spent any of his time away last season learning how to deal with crosses. The fact that he remains nailed to the goal line means that we were defending far too deep. I couldn't really see a couple of the goalmouth scrambles in the second half but on at least two occasions it loked like they'd scored when in fact they hadn't!

Ref was poor as well. Definite penalty when Earnie got clattered.

We have to keep more clean sheets and be able to close these games out.

Two dropped i would say. Pompey were there for the taking IMO. First half was scrappy but improved in the second half with both teams going close.
