The guy is on about jones pathetic record of wins when going a goal down first not last years games against Burnley.

Using the away game against burnley last season is a reasonable comparison IMO

Besides DJ's poor record was about winning games after going behind. We can back to draw many games after going a goal behind.

Fair rebuttal imo Luke, I'd think the team we put out against Burnley in May was better than that we did today though Bellamy for example, both teams had nowt to play for then too.

out of 120 games, when one nil down DJ came back to win Only 10 games in 6 years.

If everyone's still so obsessed with Dave Jones(as some are on here!) why not wait til the end of the season before comparing MM and DJ?

I Never started this thread,just added to it. DJ had millions compared to Malky.

I keep on reading that and just don't believe it at all . Dave Jones consistently had to sell his best players to bring new ones in and I love to know why Malky is getting such an easy ride on this board ?. I went up to the game yesterday and our defence was cut open to pieces (again) we were passed off of the park for huge periods in the 1st half (again), there's a complete lack of pace through out the whole team (again), there's a lack of class (again), poor old Whittingham has little support to help him out (again) and the Miller and Earnshaw partnership (if one can call it that) just does't seem to be there at all (again)

If this was happing under Dave Jones enough would be said, never mind how Dave Jones would have been ripped to shreds on this board if he lost to a new promoted side and his team played as poorly as we did against Brighton But hey because because Malky only got 20 million odd to spend (more than Jones could dream off) because Malky isn't Jones, because Malky is Scottish, because Malky shows some emotion on the Pitch, lets give him an easy ride and free pass. While Looking over the fact at what an average side we are, and when under Jones we been to new heights never seen before at our Club for decades getting to a play off final with a Transfer Embargo and a thin squad with a host of injuries to key players- So this talk of massive funds for Jones, thin squad is utterly laughable (We'll be lucky to make the Playoff's them self's this season)


I hope Malky will do the Job but I'll not about to give him an easy ride either and I'll not forget what a fantastic Job Dave Jones did for our Club and what quality players he brought in with not the biggest Budgets.

To be honest what a load of bollocks... Dave Jones done a fantastic job ... thats why we lost an FA cup final we could have won had the tit not played the team or formation he did,,, 6 years down the line and still in the premiership. Lost a playoff final again through shit tactics.. so how does that constitute a great job??

Where has Malky got £20 mill to spend? {total rumour bollocks} and Dave was backed big time last season with wages spent on his loanee flops..!! and please name all these quality player Dai brought to the club??
