Observation from last night

Could see from the canton end that the fans in the Ninian stand, just by the away fans were
Taking some grief from the stewards to sit down!

Very funny though as soon as the stewards went you were all back on your feet

I think that would do my nut in though being constantly told to sit

They were telling the Brighton fans to aswell , but they couldn't

its getting ridiculous honestly, some of the blokes there were starting to get really p*ssed off with the stewards, as everyone just stands back up literally 1 min after they tell us to sit down !!

The atmosphere last night was poor, i think this was due to stewards teklling people in the ninian to sit down all the time, i sit in the family stand with my son and i felt sorry for a lot of the fans who i do know in the ninian stand who were standing most of last season at the back ..NOT at the front so whats the problem,

the club is starting to take alot of pressure from the authorities about Cardiff fans and their persistent standing. Its a stupid rule agreed, but as it stands persistent standing is against the law and the authorities do have the power to close down blocks and entire stands if they so choose. The club is trying its best its offering standing fans the option to transfer over to the canton stand, but until the laws changes on persistent standing the clubs stewards will start targeting standing in the ninian stand

there was definitely more singing in the ninian stand than canton yesterday, i can recall one time where the canton started a song that the ninian followed but on more than one occasion, it was the ninian that got it going, in my opinion

Exactly- everyone was pre-warned that standing will only be tollerated in the Canton end! the atmosphere looks like it may well have picked up now too due to the singers that did move from the ninian because of this. So can't see how people can complain..... ?

If you get the chance to transfer - and want to stand, then get over there with us!

Exactly- everyone was pre-warned that standing will only be tollerated in the Canton end! the atmosphere looks like it may well have picked up now too due to the singers that did move from the ninian because of this. So can't see how people can complain..... ?

If you get the chance to transfer - and want to stand, then get over there with us!

In the Ninian stands defence though, there is something special about being next to the away fans and trying to out sing them and the banter ect.. Controversially I also think that some fans like to be by the away fans just in case it kicks off! Maybe trying to get the old grange end buzz back!!

The problem is I really think that people are going to have bans unless they come to the canton!

"controversily" in the 70's and 80's the only reason you went next to the away fans was for trouble, it makes me laugh how people these days love to sit next to and wind up the away fans and the winge about it kicking off etc
