Gerrard - Awful tonight. His distribution was diabolical. Never really been a fan of his if I'm honest. Lets get a quality centre-half.
Cowie - What position was he playing for Watford last season, he certainly aint a right-midfielder/winger, had NO impact on the game tonight wotsoever!!
Earnie - Did as best he could with the high balls that were being constantly knocked up to him, some of his runs were questionable mind!
A couple of decent signings to strengthen the squad, maybe 4 or 5, CB,RW,CM, ST, LB.

If you didn't notice we were over run in midfield tonight, so Cowie had to keep coming over to the centre to cut out the threat of Brighton playing with 5 across midfield and therefore was continually being dragged out of position.. and if you think he;s not a right midfield player then you didn't see him against Bristol or West Ham where he played very well.. yes he had little inpact on the game because he couldn't due to Brightons set up..
Gerrard was poor .. agreed and so was Hudson.. both got less pace than Heather MaCartney
Earnie wasn't up to much

Pace at centre half is going to cost Cardiff when up against decent forwards just like Maynard did 2nd half on Sunday after Stead came home and just like CMS did last night . West Ham also caused major problems but on that day their final product was woefull ........... but saying that then there's prob only about 6 or 7 teams this season that could push Cardiff at the back , maybe Darcy Blake will be the answer ? Last night shows the team is desperate for another taller striker who can score goals at this level ...... Mason had a decent game again last night and it will be an interesting selection dilemma for Malky when Gunnarson is fit . Plus Kiss and Mc Phail also available soon .

He was very poor. A game of Lee Naylor proportions. But he has earned the right not to get too much flak. Unlike Naylor.

never understood the hero worship of Mcnaughton. Yes he is a good defender but his distribution and crossing going forward have always been questionable.
all things being well craig will be in front of him in a few weeks time and kiss, Mcphail and gunnarson will be available to bolster the midfield.
did anyone else think we looked a bit leggy last night as though we had over trained and left our sharpness on the training field

Mc Naughton's crosses into the box last night were awful but I think he did well otherwise BUT was part of the 3 some that cocked up and gave Brighton the 1st goal !

I'm entitled to my honest opinion, I've supported the City for over 20 years and if I wanna say how it is then if you don't like it keep your comments to yourself unless you got something constructive to say.

after reading a few of your comments i thought i would say my bit
ratings for last night
marshall - ok should not be beaten from 30 yards - bring back heaton he is only in cause he is scottish
kev - cover some ground but seemed nervous on ball
taylor - good performance
gerrard - shit performance - overweight - slow - trys to play too much - scouser
hudson - too slow when mackail smith turned hudson took another three strides before noticing he has gone - shit
cowie -agree with comments he is not a winger think would be suited more central - average performance
whittingham - average but wasted playing holding midfielder
mason - average set a high mark with bristol did not live up to it but he is only 19
conway - not sure what he was doing shows how shit scottish league is
earnie - seemed lost but prob cause they were knocking balls up to him to win in the air ,have they noticed he is only 5ft4" and also his strike partner was knowhere to be seen
miller - shit he wont score many this year, shit touch the only thing he as done so far is score against west ham and green should have saved it another only there cause he is scottish
back to reallity its a new team so is going to take a while to gel, cant take too long cause will get left behind, i think we should all be judging after ten games, what pissing me off the most is the lack of action in the transfer market, there are some quality players out there also some with no clubs e.g bullard, olyifijano,
