Outside the ground saying hello to every player like he knows them,
Always where's his scarf and cap, ( I know that doesn't narrow it down much ) lol
I got to ground at 1pm and saw few players coming in suited and booted,
Parkin looked slimmer than I thought, mcphail had a bit of banter with the fan and then Parkin talked to him about being crap at golf and asked for his golf ball back!!!!!!!
I Recognise the fan from when I used to be a ballboy years ago, loud bugger he is!!!!
Come on show yourself on here!!!!!

I too first saw him when I was a ballboy at ninian park, always block c or b of the bob bank, towards the front. Great character and slightly mental...but a big flag bearer for the Cardiff City faithful.
I always remember one quote to Spencer Prior, which he shouted from his seat during a warm up.
"SPENCAAAA!!!, SPENCAAAAA!!???" Spencer Prior stops and looks.. "I need to see more from you Spencaaa, f*cking shit last week...SHIT! You were an embarrassment to the club, I hope you've sanded down that 50p head of yours today. f*cking GET YOUR HEAD ON THE BALL!!........... Have a good game"
Fair play to Spencer Prior, he acknowledged him with a thumbs up and actually went on to have a stand out performance during the game.
DAI HUNT, NO NONSENSE MANAGER.

I remember many a thing and enjoyed many experiences over the years at Ninian. That quote for some reason has always stayed with me.
I once warmed up Mark Walton on the pitch before a division 2 match....absolutely loved every minute. He just started waving me over, I had a little look around to make sure he was calling me on.

I walked to him, he rolled the ball and said , "the lads have gone off, warm me up a bit....just hit a few at me" I took it too seriously (as a youngster would) and was lashing them at him, they stuck to his hand like glue though to be fair.

Great memories for ya,

My last game was Wales v Scotland when jock stein died.
Some scot fan gave me £10, lol and I thought they were tight,
Took a pot shot at Ron healey once at half time,

I was there from late 90's till first season in the (modern) championship...i believe. I experienced some cracking games and moments. Watched Leeds on the middle gate of the bob in the cup, saw Mark Delaney run through the whole Chester team and score, witnessed Celtic fill the whole ground against Cwmbran?? in the europe quals, heart ache of Stokes last minute of extra time winner in the playoffs, Chris Casper getting his career ending leg break by Chris Carpenter, Andy Legg always telling me off for not drying the ball well enough for the long throws, Bobby Gould calling me in the office when I was head ballboy at half time to 'advise' me on being slower when delivering the ball to the opposition, Jason Bowen scoring and running up to me and hugging me in a moment of joy.....etc.

I heard of Dai Hunt on here before. When me and my bro went to watch city v qpr last season there was a header of the same description shouting and screaming to the players warming up and taunting the qpr fans on his own in the canton stand.lol Surely this is Dai Hunt? Looks a right header!
Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:34 pm
Dai as always was outside the players entrance very early today, I was there at 11.45 and he was there before me.
He is noisey and a bit of a showman and loves his banter with the players but he's harmless really, he was telling me today that he hasn't had a job since 2008 but had an interview last week and they have shortlisted him for the job and he's got a second interview sometime this week, he even offered to work a fortnight without wages on a trial basis to show his commitment to getting the job, he may be a bit of a comedian but he sure ain't afraid of work.
