The Trusts comment on catering costs

Wed Aug 10, 2011 9:29 pm

As promised i e-mailed the Trust to ask them to raise the issue of the cost of food and drink at the CCS and this is the reply that i received:-

Some people have emailed us saying they fear the price of food and drink will go up this season. The club discusses the prices at the stadium with their provider, Compass. It also benchmarks its prices against other football grounds. There’s no point our comparing the price of a pint with that in a pub in Canton – these will always be stadium prices and there will be a slight increase this season. But it is worth noting that in a BBC survey ‘Price of Football’ Cardiff offered the eighth cheapest day out in the Championship for match ticket, programme, food and drink. (Here is the link to the survey - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/ hi/football/14367357.stm )

Don't shoot the messenger :D

I've just had an e-mail form the trust about it all and noticed that.

Thats a typical political reply refering to other places and comparing prices. Fair enough, if Compass want my business then they better bring their prices down. I wont be bothering buying anything of them until they do.

I hope Cardiff City football club read my comment and pass it on to Compass.

Yep feel the same way, i am not concerned about other Clubs and what does the price of programme to do with the price charged for food and drink

I will just have my usual pre match pint in Canton and forgo a pint at half time because i ain't prepared to pay Compass rip off prices
