Time to SUPPORT the Police!

Although as football fans we don't always see eye in eye with the Police, however what they are facing is uncontrollable. At one point there was 20 police trying to take back a street against 300+ rioters
No amount of organisation or equpitment can handle that disadvantage, and due to the random spread of the violence the police cannot group there forces or it will leave some areas with no protection at all.

Don't listen to the people on the news saying it is a polictical issue and and pushing the blame onto our goverment as there just opposition parties trying to use the situation to there advantage, the rioters have no intrest in the state of the economy and I bet half of them don't even no who our PM is.
They are just out to benefit themselves stir-up trouble and get themselves a free TV while there at it.

I honestly believe tonight will be worst again and it will spread much further, it is time the goverment gave the police permission to use rubber bullets and gas



Persoanlly I am proud of my city Cardiff in the develpment and growth we have had lately, and I swear down if there is any trouble in Cardiff or my town Bridgend I will be out there joining the police line. If we don't handle it tonight it will grow to fast out of control, tonight it is time for the police to get heavy handed

Just heard a 67 year old man is in a critical condition after being badly attacked after he asked rioters not to damage his house !! Makes my blood boil !!

Fully agree m8 its easy for people to blame the police, my missus is out there helping the public as thats in her heart and there are many police like her. Far too easy for people to chant kill the bill and have a moan, but people need to realise the vast majority of them are normal people with mortgages and doing a job to try and help their community. Good post couldnt agree more.

Heard reports all night and today from twitter/message boards of lads from Millwall defending their area of Eltham from rioters. No idea on the legitimacy of that, and don't like to get sucked into what's just ''talk'', but seriously good on them if that's true. The world needs more of a sense of community care and belonging right now. Everything's going to f**k thanks to mindless yobs who need to be stopped. If they're a mindless minority as the media says, the mass majority needs to stand up for themselves now!

Why support the police?

Remember City fans being battered at Huddersfield away etc and other numerous games !!!
Remember some fans being jailed at Chelsea, with the Portsmouth fiasco to come !!!
Banning orders given out for NOTHING.

Watch the rioters get community service after this, because the jails are full and they wont want to hurt the black communities. Throw a traffic cone that doesnt hit anyone at Chelsea and get jail for having a white face.

I do hope though that they do not get injured and would agree that this violence is wrong, but perhaps the public are viewing this as payback time.

Unfortunately the government have left too many immigrants in the country and they think they can do what they like.
Would there be riots in London, Bristol and Birmingham if the majority of white people lived there - NO.
Too many black ghettos (London, Birm, Bristol) = violence.

The government has lost control and this was just a matter of time before this happened.

My step dad is a policeman who is on duty, out there right now defending Cardiff, he's a very good guy who has put a roof over our heads and food on the table.

Why should we not support him? And all the other policeman out there, who must be petrified, as must be their families?

Why HELP the police? You would probably get arrested anyway for getting involved.
