IMO i think Peter Whittingham is probably one of the best midfielders in this league even though sometimes he does have the tendancy to go missing in certain games , namely those not on a Saturday afternoon.
But i think a way round that is to give him more responsibility and make him Captain instead of Hudson, nothing against Hudson but Malky has said this summer he wants to build the team around Whitts.
If Whitts is Captain then he wont be able to go missing theoretically as the younger players in the team will be looking for the Captain to drive them on when things start getting tough and i really think that could bring out the best of him,as being 26 now he should be coming in to his best years now :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

For a few years now people have told me he is the most gifted player a the club. But he is very quiet and laid back.
Not sure if that menat he was lazy - but doesnt always seems to want to get stuck in.
Some of his free kicks are class and that says a lot. All the top players have the ability to make free kicks look easy.

Possibly but now he is maturing i think the extra responsibility would be right up his street as hes older and wiser now :ayatollah:

Yes, his only problem is he can't defend nor header a ball...apart from that hes f*cking ace! :ayatollah:
