Quick Vale update today

Just watched our boys training up the Vale.
Very impressed. Malky got them doing lots of 2 touch possesion work.
It was pleasing to see a Mananger involved with all aspects of training and talking throughout.
Notable absentees was Gerrard, Gunnersson, Kiss and Gestede.
I later got told the Gerrard and Gunnersson was in the swimming pool (not sure why, possibly recovering from slight knocks)
In the possesion work,the back 5 was Marshall,Taylor, Hudson, Keinan, Macnaughton.
Gavin Rae also still training with the boys.
Ibby Farah impressed me today. Looked very sharp. Doesn't seem big enough for a Centre Midfielder tho. Joe Mason looked very strong on the ball for such a slight guy.
Stephen Macphail also completed the full session
Small mention and Hello to a poster from this messageboard who i got talking to up there. Doesnt post regular but does now and again. Hello Geoff (excuse if its spelt different) recognising my profile pic
Session finished at 1145. Conway and Keinan stayed out knocking the ball around. Also Ernie,Taiwo,Blake and Whitts stayed out playing keep ups.
Malky and his coaches still on pitch when i was leaving, all other players went back to get changed, Miller signing lots of autographs up there

When you look at pitch, theres a little alley on left hand side running right next to the pitch, i normally stand there as thats closest position when they are using full pitch. Either that or just stand behind the goals by the car park

Nice to meet you also Gareth, I don't mind how my names spelt I've been called a lot worse , what I found encouraging today is how the squad seemed to be enjoying the training, I took my kids for a swim after the gym and all the squad were in there winding down and having a laugh in there, they do these pool sessions regularly with the coaches standing on the side, I was chatting to Parkin in the changing rooms afterwards and he was saying what a good bunch of lads they have this season and echoed Gerrard's opinion that there were certainly a few ego's in the squad last season, didn't ask him to name anyone though, didn't want to put him in an awkward situation.
