anyone else a little concerned with our squad depth at the moment???

with the big kick off just a few days away we have probably one of the biggest and toughest games we will have from the off..

this is going to be a physical game and im a little worried that should the unfortunate happen and we get any injuries in this game, will we then be able to put out a strong enough squad for another big game vs the wurzels the following week and then up and coming brighton on the wednesday...

3 big games in 10days...

Yeah definitely agree with you Blackwood, we need a minimum of 3 more signings if not more to fill out our squad. Looking very unlikely that we will get them in even by the time the Bristol City game comes around as it seems everything has gone quiet on the transfer front right now. Not sure if that's a good or a bad sign. But we all know Malky is fully aware that our squad is not the complete article yet so we have to trust in him to make sure he gets the right players for the club.

i agree,

it seems most clubs pretty much know their plans now, who is going to feature in the squads etc... id like to see a couple of quality loan signings from prem league clubs etc.. surely september is a bit late..

Squad is one player larger than last game last season, plus youth players.

Dave Jones may have had more players than we have now but he never had enough quality on the bench, for example, Taiwo is not exactly quality but now with Malky, we could have either Gunnarrson, Cowie or Kiss on the bench alongside Macca. That's more quality than Dave Jones had. MacKay could just be the man to take us up.

The whole transfer market is subdued at the moment because Prem clubs have not yet trimmed their squads and this has restricted movement of players.

I'm confident malky has targets lined up and will secure 2-3 more players within the next 2-3 weeks.

We have been far more active in the transfer market than most teams, but belt tightening has slowed the market down as a whole.

Fear not, our squad will be strong enough.

There is a month to go in the window. Everyone chill.

By the end of deadline day I'm sure Malky will get another two or three players in, whether it's Bellamy or not.

We got the smallest squad we've had for the last 7 years DJ always use to harp on about squad numbers well i dunno how malkys gonna cope with less than ever and we dont have the quility like last year at all so im not expecting much this year just survive and let him build i guess,plus he can get rid of the shit dj left under contract he does not want in the meantime
