regardless of the outcome of his talks with man city i find it really sad that with all he money he s earned in his career,it must be over 10 million that he s still chasing the money,if his family was his main concern he d come back to cardiff not go to celtic or another club, the life style he leads the cars and his house are things us normally fans could only dream off owning ,all this talk off needing the money to pay for his academy is a load of rubbish

Bellamy gave his all for Man City. They employed him for a period of time an guaranteed to pay him a sum of money for it. It was they're (Mancini's) decision that they did not want him to play for the duration of that promise. All he is looking for is a mutually (and fair) way to conclude his stay there.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that and I don't think anyone could question his desire to play for City as I don't think he's short of alternatives.

Spot on gagsy :ayatollah: Bellers is happy for Man City to put in part of his wage directly into his foundation in Sierra Leone.

One of my best mates is and has been his Financial Advisor snice Bellers was at Norwich City.
The guys who bellers is with when back in Cardiff,i was in school with or i know of from my time in Roath.
All the above guys are good people, and even if i know what Bellers has,it's not for me to post.

This is about getting what is owed or coming to an agreement,if Bellers is not good enough to be in Man City's 25.
Then lets hope its back to Cardiff City :ayatollah:

What a load of bollocks! Im happy for him earning that sort of money & we should be thankful that we watched him play last year. Not moaning that he's not coming back.

any one got to earn as much as they can nothing wrong with that.
people say that bellamy wants to come and play for cardiff city ? 4 million to him is like 400 to most of us surely .
and yes we were privaleged that we had a world class player like him for a season he worked his socks off for us pity some of the others didnt do the same instead of falling down trying to get free kicks and pens :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's not £4m though is it, that's before tax. So take off 50% and that leaves you with £2m. He'll never get a contract like that again and unless he manages to stay in football after he retires in 1 or 2 years then he's unlikely to work again, can't see him getting a 9-5 to top up the pension, can you? The percentage of players staying in football after retiring must be very small.

Footballers have 10-15 years to make enough money to support their families for the rest of their lives, they've got to take what they can get. You can't compare their financial situation to a normal guy on the streets, their lifestyle is totally different and they're trying to finance it for an entire lifetime by working for only 10-15 years max.

Re: bellamy

Im really pissed off that people are accusing him of chasing money, he gets paid what clubs are willing to pay him. No more no less!

Liverpool are a massive club & after watching Craig play over the years he probably believes he can earn a starting place in one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

If u were faced with the same question Liverpool or Cardiff you would all choose Liverpool. And if u wouldn't ur a mug :ayatollah:

Re: bellamy

Tue Sep 20, 2011 9:24 am

people are so silly being upset over bellamys decision, we would all do it and imo he did the right thing.

what he said in the past was in the heat of the moment and is what he wanted....but we dont always get what we want

What a load of bollox

1, what Bellers has earned or earn is his business

2 its a 12 year at most if your lucky career so you take what you can

3 his & his families lifestyle is 100 times that of what we would know so needs to earn that 100 times extra.

4 Cardiff City is not his club, Liverpool is so infact he is living the dream.

5 This is the real world, wake up and deal with it.
