Why are some parts of Cardiff like an ash tip and other area's clean and tidy?
As a bus driver I drive through all areas of Cardiff on a daily basis, Grangetown's a shit tip (Clare Rd, Cornwall St, Tudor St), Roath's no better (City Rd, etc), Ely, Llanrumney, St Mellons and Tremorfa are pretty much the same, yet Radyr, Whitchurch, Cyncoed, Heath and other similar places are pretty much spotless.
I do realise that the cleaner areas are also the more well heeled areas of our city and I'm not having a dig at certain areas in any way but just making an obsevation as I pass through these areas.
Is it to do with the residets taking more pride in certain areas? Is it to do with students..more younger people etc? or do these cleaner areas have a better street cleansing regime from the council? What ever it is it's something that's always had me thinking as a lot of visitors pass through Grangetown on the No8 bus on the way to the Bay and must get a bad first impression.
