I honestly cannot believe some of our f*cking supporters, judging this team at such an early stage...I couldn't give a shit if it takes more than 2 seasons till we get it right, Mackay needs time to build HIS side....people need to realise that not every signing will be the right one, there will be chopping and changing month after month, until the right balance and right players are added....bollocks to the friendlies, I couldn't give two hoots, they're only there to get players fit......lets get a settled side, and add the quality as we go along, some of our fans need a reality check....end of rant....now breath Tommy

I'm gonna kill some c**t soon, I can see it...

i couldnt agree more, but i just feel there was a lack of experience and quality out there tonight.
2 1/2 weeks for that to change though! (start of season, i know transfer window is open until end of aug)

i for one enjoyed the game, so we did not test the keeper, so we were a bit rusty (only second game this season), but from what i saw they did ok, Celtic are SPL and full of quality, our keepers only had to make 1 save, i think that says enough for the back four. and we only lost by a single goal.
Gunnarsson looked goodm taylor looks like he gonna be a star, in either position. Parkin is Parkin and the rest of the team did ok.
Give em a chance and lets see where we go from here.
well done city.

thats what fans do we judge players instantly!! but MM said himself he is aiming high this season & we are as fans also!! i would never slate players but the game highlighted we need some experienced players in to balance the squad!! i really think we need bellamy in also!! if we dont get him in I will be seriously dissapointed & i think he will bring the team together even more!!
we will see!!

Way too early to tell but i thought we played some neat football in the first half and were the better team. O.K the second half was shite but it's only the second game with a new team and it will take time for things to gel. We are missing some quality up front but if we sign a few of the players who we have been linked with then i think a decent season beckons.

Spot on Tommy. The game tonight meant as much as the game last Friday. A match fitness exercise-nothing more. We're making more signings within days and the squad will look completely different at West Ham or at least Bristol City the week later. If friendlies are anything to go by, the year we visited Stockport and conceded 6 goals, we later got to the FA cup final, so if our starts in this years friendlies are anything to go by , we'll be in the champions league final next may. Ignore the pessimists. They have no life

Its obvious we need more players, we're not in a position to rush out and get them now, maybe January will unearth a few shrewed signings, to stand us in good stead for next season, as we've discussed since last May, its all about building....and building the right way, until we get it right...
What I really hope is, the loan signings we make this season, will be in view of permanant deals for the future, and not loans, so they are here for a few months and never to be seen again..

How did the training over the Cae go CityGent? You building a decent team? Do you need a cheerleader

Funny you should mention January. It was mentioned in Spain more than once by a couple of"higher-ups"at the club that the reported pot will be shared out now and after Christmas. @Phatfrog, I've got a few decent players. We're looking to join a Sunday league but might just concentrate on friendlies and fitness levels for the first year. There's definitely an opening for a couple of cheer leaders. Perhaps you should bring your Scandinavian friend along for try-outs?

i couldnt agree more i think it will take time to gel but we defiantly needed more strikers today, which he will obviously bring in.
I'm just hoping the side will be ready for West Ham, we did seem to go back into the long ball game today though, even though i did like some of the football we played today, tbh most of it.
i will give Mackay the time he has a hard task at CCS, with him having to have to replace 12 players tbh i still think we will do well during the season, it will just take time imo its only Malky's second game in charge and the players have to adept to the way he likes the team to play
In Malky we trust

If we finish this season in the top 10, it will be a job very well done in my opinion.

So you don't believe in building a settled side then?...hmmm, tell you what we should do, lets flood the team full of loan signings, sit back, and watch it f**k up, just like last season.

the amazing thing is that people tend to forget the 7-0 thrashing that Newcastle suffered at the hands of Luton Town in the pre-season leading up to their promotion from the Championship

I'd post that Parkin was utter gash, fitness or not being an utter irrelevance, but clearly some better supporters dictate I can't...
